    Great location Great Price Great amenities a lil noisy at night

    We stayed here for a night as a stop over to be close to everything in Rome . Perfect location the girls were friendly on reception and even let us leave our bags there as we arrived early and then checked us in early too !! Comfortable bed and great amenities. Only thing was it was very noisy at night not much sleep at all as we had to have windows open as you had to be a brain surgeon to figure out the air conditioning ! Which I’m still trying to work out how it works All in all a good authentic experience in Rome with the minor thing it being noisy but hey you’re in the city !

    Bad experience, even worse “executive sweet”

    We reserved our room in January for a June vacation. Upon entering one of the 2 adjoining rooms our daughters ended up walking into a room with guests already there. When we went back to tell the staff they said we could not stay in the rooms we reserved. We instead had to stay in what appeared to be staff rooms that had a physiscal key not a key card. In order to get to the bathroom of the “executive suite” our daughters would have to go through our room in order to use the bathroom. Within an hour of being in that room we told the front desk we wanted our “common” room back and did not like the room we had been displaced in. We were told we would be given a partial refund and never received the refund. We asked when checking out and were told it had to be done by a manager. Then we emailed the manager and they denied the partial refund.Avoid this Hotel at all costs.

    There was an excellent customer service. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Thank you Adriana and Ofely. Location excelent!! If I had wanted a modern hotel, we would have booked a hotel on the outskirts of the city, not this excellent hotel from the early 1900s, which has an exceptional location. In many cities, emergency horns are not allowed at night, in Rome they are. These horns are heard in almost all hotels near main streets. We were in room 201 and we will return next year because we loved the hotel.

    Hotel Castellino was the perfect choice for our stay in Rome. The location could not have been better, right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance to all the major attractions. The Colosseum was especially close and we loved being able to explore so much of Rome on foot.The rooms were spacious, beautifully presented and wonderfully quiet, offering a welcome retreat after busy days exploring. The service was truly impeccable. When my daughter accidentally left her Apple Watch behind, the hotel contacted us immediately to arrange its return, a level of honesty and care that speaks volumes.Breakfast each morning was varied and delicious and the staff even made my daughter a lovely iced coffee which she adored. The area around the hotel came alive at night with vibrant nightlife and even a live violinist performing nearby, adding to the magic of our evenings.Hotel Castellino exceeded our expectations in every way. We will absolutely return on our next trip to Rome and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, charm and exceptional service.

    Location outweighs the noise

    Stayed for 4 nights. We arrived early and our room was ready. David on reception is a gem, so friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the front so noise from a very busy road and restaurants below. They are currently digging up Piazza Venezia for a new subway station too 🤪 The hotel location is excellent easy walk to every tourist location including The Vatican. Has a roof terrace that seemed very underused, no bar so take your own up there.I would visit again.
