Location

This sophisticated hotel lies on the beautiful Via del Babuino directly on Piazza del Popolo at the heart of Rome. The fabulous gardens of the Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps are just a short walk away and links to the public transport are to be found directly out front. Fiumicino airport lies approximately 26 km away whilst Ciampino airport is about 15 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1814. 130 rooms and 23 suites are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by 4 lifts. Multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park.     Wonderful Family Stay in the Heart of Rome

    Our family stayed at Hotel de Russie for three nights during our vacation in Italy, and it was a fantastic way to begin our trip. The location is excellent, allowing us to easily explore Rome while still enjoying a peaceful retreat at the end of each day. The hotel is beautiful, the gardens are stunning, and our room was comfortable, quiet, and impeccably maintained throughout our stay. What stood out most was the service—every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our visit memorable. We would especially like to recognize Mario at Le Jardin, who took exceptional care of our family and made every dining experience feel special. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression on us and truly enhanced our stay. We have been fortunate to stay at many wonderful hotels over the years, and Hotel de Russie is one we will remember for a long time.     A Truly Exceptional Roman Hospitality Experience

    We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and we believe it deserves the highest praise in every aspect.First and foremost, the staff were exceptional. Beyond their friendliness and willingness to help, we genuinely felt their commitment to making our stay as enjoyable as possible. More importantly, there was a clear sense of pride in their work. This was evident throughout the hotel, including the breakfast team, who were attentive, welcoming, and consistently provided excellent service each morning. The concierge team was particularly outstanding, assisting us with transportation arrangements and securing museum tickets, even when official tickets were no longer available.Second, the room was excellent—spotlessly clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The mattress was firm and supportive, and an orthopedic pillow that we had requested prior to our arrival was already waiting for us in the room.Third, the food was superb. Both the breakfast and the dining experience at Le Jardin restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were of the highest quality and every dish was thoughtfully prepared.
