The hotel was built in 1700. Junior suites, suites, apartments, studios, 5 single rooms and 25 double rooms are available to guests in a 2-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building.     Small hotel, but great rooms. One probably will be surprised when arriving at the hotel as it is on the fourth floor of an office building. Front door locked in the evening and on weekends, hence you need to ring a bell. Very old fashioned building, however the hotel rooms are surprisingly nice. Everything very clean. The bathroom very nice/modern. The members of the staff all very helpful and friendly. Going out of their way to assist you. Again entrance maybe a surprise, however once inside there is a little gem. Highly recommend this hotel. Only negative no restaurant, but that negativity is compensated by the various restaurants in close proximity. Highly recommended restaurant: Trattoria Tempo di Bacco; just a few doors down from the hotel.

    Apartment is just as shown! Very clean! Very modern. Allan our host was great and answered all my questions during checkin and also on WhatsApp. Gave great recommendations for food in the area. Overall great place for big families or a couples trip.

    Terrible experience, after a long train from Paris we made it to the hotel at 1:00 am. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful but once we made it to the room we were shocked. The room was very old and not related at all to the pictures we found before doing the reservation. The toilet had poop all over, the pillow covers had hair on them, the towels had brown stains that definitely looked like poop stains and the beds were too rough, old and squeaky. We check out right away and found another hotel and after making enough noise they gave me a full refund in cash. I’m sharing here to make sure no one else is falling for this scam!!

    Hotel Garda, Rome, a "gem" of a hotel in a good area

    This gem of a hotel is in a great neighborhood & a very safe area. It is located on a side street, so not much traffic. We found our favorite restaurant & sidewalk cafe 2 doors down from here. This hotel was a little challenging at first, because we weren't sure how to get into the lobby. You have to push some buttons for someone to let you in (very secure) & then use their lift (very small, but effective) to go up to the fourth floor where the hotel is. The rooms are small, but that is what we have found in Europe anyway. The receptionists are great & very helpful getting us taxis, helping us navigate the area, etc. They went over & above to help us have a great stay there. The one "ding" we would give it is the super tiny shower. We are not huge people, and you had to enter the shower sideways, due to the shower doors closing on each side to the front of the shower, and it's very small inside the shower, where you can't really turn around comfortably. Other than that inconvenience, it was a great stay for us.
