    Would not recommend this hotel at all. It’s cheap yes but when it’s that bad that you have to pay for another hotel it’s actually very expensive. We arrived late at night to be greeted by a rude man who demanded we paid cash the next morning despite us giving our credit card when booking. Warning - they only take cash and don’t tell you that when booking. Rooms are basic, noisy and the beds are rock hard with only one wafer thin pillow that smells of someone else’s sweat!The main issue for us was no hot water at all, we flagged it to the rude man in reception immediately but he did nothing. Next morning there was still no hot water and we had to have cold showers. Receptionist made out that there was nothing wrong and just the water pressure was weak. Even took my husband into someone else’s room (with their possessions lying around) to prove there was hot water. Didn’t really help in our room though. Bathroom was that small you could hardly sit on the toilet. They did offer to move us but the whole place was so bad we cut our losses and found another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!!

    Possitives: Location, cleanness, coffee and tea facilities, strong WiFi, staffNegatives:3 negatives for me:- 1st - I was on the first floor- 2nd - the pressure of the water - in some moments the water is just missing- 3rd - it was not possible to pay with a bank card, they accept only cash

    I have stayed at this B&B 3 and on the last occasion it was not up to the standard that it was before. For example the continental breakfast, before it consisted of savoury and sweet and now it just consisted of sweet so anyone with a dietary requirement would not be fulfilled. When I asked for a cup of another cappuccino I was told that you are only allowed one drink and if I wanted a savoury it would cost 3 euros extras. On my previous two occasions at this establishment there was a choice consisting of a full buffet. Please bring this back, as it does of course let you down. From a constructive point of view your towels need upgrading. Overall the stay was pleasant, staff very friendly especially the night receptionist (gentleman) very polite and always remembered myself and my friend, thank you

    A first rate family run hotel in the historic centre of Rome. We were lucky enough to find Hotel Maryelen when it was a B&B run by Loredana and her family, (all fluent in English), and we have visited many times over the years. Rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and hotel staff could not be more helpful. Breakfast is of the healthy Italian variety and is plentiful. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Termini Station and is ideally situated between the station and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. We would recommend Hotel Maryelen without hesitation.

    I stayed at this place for several times, but the last stay (planned for 4 nights, actual stay was during 2 nights) was not so good as usual.First of all, the hotel cancelled my booking for 2 nights without possibillity to re-store as if my credit card was denied. But I contact my bank - and there was no attempt to charge or check anything. As a results I had to look for another hotel for first 2 nights 1 week prior arrival. The second thing which disappointed me was very poor breakfast. Before the breakfast was rather good with cheese, proscuto, salami, pastery, yogurts, etc., but now it is just coffee, croisants, bread with butter and concentrated juice. Now the hotel uses the breakfast room for the bar and in the morning serves breakfast for outsiders. The room was ok, as we booked the twin room with more space. The location is very suitable for city break and to travel by train. Good value for the money. But I was my last stay at this hotel due to above mentioned cirumstances with my booking.
