    There were six of us checking in last Saturday morning after we got off a Sun Princess cruise. Two were walking with canes. There were 5 steps to get luggage up. I went to the front desk and asked a man for help and he said he was the only one there and couldn’t help! He could see the luggage from the counter! Great way to start our stay in Rome. The location is 5 stars for the Vatican. Older hotel& has charm but doesn’t look much like their website pics. The rest of the staff was very friendly. If you have a disability, don’t stay here. They actually have a lift for people & luggage right next to the steps but there were big plants on & in front of it. 🙄 Many great restaurants within walking distance.

    The hotel was conveniently located to many attractions in walking distance. The hotel rooms were pretty good, clean, comfortable and AC! The breakfast area on the roof patio was very good with many options. Unfortunately the elevator broke on our last day so we all had to carry multiple pieces of luggage down the stairs from 3 or 4 flights up.

    Very quiet hotel , comfortable and closed to the Vatican . A few blocks from the metro station and with great restaurants all around .

    Stayed here for 3 nights. Very pleasant stay. Fantastic friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast and you could see the Vatican from the hotel. Room was a little small but fine for a city break. Everything was very clean. One suggestion would be to have lights on roof terrace.

    Excellent Hotel Museum near the Vatican

    We had an excellent two night stay at this hotel. The desk staff were extremely friendly and the room and the hotel in general, were very clean.The location for visiting the Vatican was exceptional, being located just down the hill from the Vatican museum entrance and, across the street from the stairs where a lot of the tours meet. This was convenient allowing us to dress appropriately for Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica but keeping us close enough to get back to the hotel and change back into standard shorts and T-shirts. Lots of restaurants in the area as well as a supermarket about a block away.The only downside is that they only have instant coffee in the hotel but you can get coffee up the street at L'Angol del Gusto.
