    Great location close to a number of key attractions and a nice view of Porta Maggiore. Walking distance from the train station. Hotel could benefit from a refresh, but overall it is good value for money.

    very busy and noisy road junction outside, miles from the centre. Should you make a complaint, the staff ignore you for the rest of your stay, this includes restaurant staff, so you won't get fed. overall, not very pleasant at all

    I would have liked to have left a review for a stay at this hotel but they have cancelled our booking for August, which we made in January and have paid for in full, and kept the money. They do not respond to any communication.

    We have been bringing Sixth Form students here for years. We get good value, a good breakfast and easy access to trams, underground metro and busses outside the hotel. We intend to keep visiting in the future. The other guests (not in school groups also seem to like it). The roof terrace bar and restaurant is a real highlight.

    We had booked a family holiday in Jan to travel in Apr but due to COVID19 we were unable to travel and we have been requesting for a refund since Feb and they are refusing to refund us, even though they had verbally they would do the refund in Mar. Booked package holiday via EXPEDIA who are also refusing to process the refund or take any ownership. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE EXPEDIA or USE THIS HOTEL (SHG Hotel Portamaggiore).
