  Great location and would come back again!

  This was our first time in Rome. This location was perfect as it was very central to everything we wanted to see. Front desk was helpful and friendly everyday. Breakfast (+$) was amazing and a special thank you to Flavia for her friendly service. Room was very comfortable but our favorite part was spending time at the rooftop bar every night. Great place to just relax and enjoy the view. Thank you to Nadia & Anush for the great service and for the recommendations. We would definitely come here again.   Great neighborhood, very quiet

  We had a twin room that overlooked the side street, so it was very quiet.Pros:- comfortable beds and pillows- amenities in the room- amazing breakfast: eggs, bacon, pastries, cereals, toasts, fruits, yogourts, etc.- very kind , helpful and attentive staff, some were able to speak French- nice neighbourhood: very quiet street, 15 min walk from Colosseum, 5 min walk to Cavour metro, 12 min walk to Termini station - lots of shops and restaurants close to the hotelCons:- can be a bit difficult to get in the shower if you have mobility issues, since you need to lift your leg high to get into the shower- no fixed showerhead, and to take a shower I had to be very careful not to leak water since the glass panel separing the shower from bathroom was not tightly sealedI would stay here again.   Nice hotel-decent location.

  The hotel was comfortable, clean and neat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel room was the size of a standard Best Western hotel you would find in the United States. The shower was small and the rain shower style shower head was pretty much useless and leaked out the top. There was no safe in the room. The location was somewhat conveniently located to the attractions. The metro and train stations were within 15 minutes' walk. There was a nice selection of food for breakfast (Keep in mind breakfast is not free, can be added to your reservation at time of booking or play by day). The hotel had free espresso and pastries in the lobby during the day.   Very nice affordable hotel

  Very nice affordable hotel about a mile from the Colosseum and near the bus stop from the hop on hop off bus. Most Rooms have been refurbished and are quite comfortable and well maintained. The terrace rooms were being refurbished so we had a standard king bed room for 3 days. The breakfast was good but mostly sweets, with some cereal and eggs and toast available as well as your normal European breakfast favorites. Service was very friendly and good. You need to bring converters for the outlets for Americans but the front desk will lend you a couple for free. No real view because of location on a small street but that was expected because of the more reasonable price of the hotel. I would surely recommend to anyone going to Rome and not wanting to pay the high end hotel prices.   We happily returned to the Rafael For five nights. We continue to really like the location, the staff, the rooms, and even the breakfast. My previous complaints about no conditioner, and no toilet paper were no longer valid. The hotel rooms and bathrooms have been upgraded. In the bathrooms we found fluffy towels, lots of light, and ample amenities. Hotel staff were even able to direct us on use of public transportation, including how to get to Tivoli using trains and buses. We will continue to use this hotel as our base in Rome.
