    Long check-in time

    rating07 Apr 2026

Worst part of experience is waiting 1+hr in line before they can check us in. Staff were friendly but their check-in system can be improved. Overall, I got what I expected for the price I paid. Clean. Mattresses are very soft.

I stayed here for a weekand then returned to Germany.I found this place welcoming, close to the Vatican City. I booked a comfortable, clean, and quiet chalet. There's a restaurant inside, but the only downside is that it's closed for lunch. I had the breakfast buffet, paying directly at the cashier. It was a great experience and very much appreciated. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. My wife tried the mega cappuccinofor an Italian-style express breakfast, of which we ordered 3 every day after trying it. I became friends with the guy working behind the counter. I found the welcome Italian and kind, thanks to Kevin.Dinner was its strong point, with various choices of dishes and pizza. The staff was very attentive and super helpful. Thanks, Aleixandra

    Hour-Long Check-In

    rating12 Nov 2025

Online check-in wasn't working for us (not sure if that's the case for the other 30+ people waiting) and there was only 1 staff member on. Poor chap even had to answer 2 phones whilst handling the unwieldy line, so he was severely overworked. We had to wait 60 minutes just to be seen to get our keys. It was a really unclear and messy system, which didn't help too. Our trip was very brief already, so this dramatically ate into it. This queue persisted well into the night. I hope the host checking folks in got a break. That said, the space itself was clean and tidy, with soap and towels provided to use, though a couple of the plug sockets in the room seemed to be damaged, so we couldn't use them. The facilities onsite were also decent, though I believe we came at the wrong time of year to make use of the pool. The service was fairly middling and we felt somewhat ignored after our overcooked mains were cleared and couldn't get anyone's attention for more drinks or desserts, so we just paid at the bar and left. Overall, most of our experiences were "average" or "good", with a sprinkling of "poor" and a "terrible" check-in. Objectively the worst part of a good trip.

    We will not return

    rating12 Nov 2025

Questionable cleaning service as we stayed for 8 days and they just visited our room one time after 3 times we reminded them, and they just left a bag with towels and bed seats. They didn’t even take out the dirty towels or trash. The staff on the reception was being inconsistent with this information, as when we arrived we were told that they change bed seats, another one told us that leaving trash and previous towels like this was wrong and she’d let the manager know, and the reception women that was working at 10/11 around 11 in the morning was passive aggressive and sarcastic the entire time saying that we should take care of the dirty towels ourself and that this ain’t a hotel but a camping (which isn’t accurate, real campings don’t have facilities like pool, bars, restaurants, mini markets, breakfast, laundry ect). This inconsistency about such a basic task made our staying feel unsure. Food was good but expensive as you can find fancy restaurants near the coliseum in same prices. Mini market was convenient

Site was good, no hot water

    rating06 Oct 2025

The overall experience was good. The site is well maintained, staff were friendly. Restaurant, marketplace, and pool were all at this location, so if you didn’t want to leave the site you really didn’t have to. The bus stop outside of the site was convenient and could take you really anywhere you wanted to go.Downside, we stayed 4 nights and I was unable to have a warm shower. I tried different times throughout the day from first thing in the morning to early evening, and later evening. I just wasn’t lucky enough to have a warm one once.
