    We arrived in Rome on a much anticipated visit only to be disappointed that the hotel accommodations were not true to their advertisement. The room we were assigned was poorly lit, outdated, without air conditioning and worst of all a live bed bug crawling on one of the twin beds. When we went to complain to the staff on duty, he came upstairs to inspect and dismissed our concern in a condescending manner. He said that he had no other rooms available and if we chose not to stay, we would not be charged for the reservation. He also advised that we would be unlikely to be able to get any other room at a hotel in Rome that evening. We of course chose not to stay - we were quite disappointed with the false advertising and poor and unacceptable hygiene conditions of this hotel. After connecting with Expedia to have the reservation cancelled, we were appalled that the hotel charged us one night’s rate (150Euros) for a late cancellation and refused to accommodate any requests from Expedia to waive the fee. We want to prevent any tourists from falling into this type of acceptable situation and will be posting this on multiple sites to increase awareness. Rome is such a beautiful city, such a shame that there are establishments that take advantage of tourists by false advertising and offering unacceptable accommodations.

    My wife and I stayed for nearly a week and I have nothing negative to say. The room was massive and the bed was spacious. Rooms were cleaned every day.All the amenities worked and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated in a busy area but I could not hear the noise from the street in the room. Plenty of restaurants to choose from around the hotel . Bus stops and train station are extremely close.Only negative was no fridge but that is an extremely minor issue.The staff were lovely and the breakfast was decent.

    A standard breakfast for a three stars hotel. There food are displayed less but if you are a good picker, you will enjoy the standard meal. The room was renovated and toilet is clean. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with a reasonable price.

    Disappointing room on 5th floor, lift only goes up to the 4th. Very basic, old and tired, no fridge or kettle etc. Poor wi fi unless in the lobby and they switch the air con off. Small bathroom and over priced for what it is. I thought the breakfast was OK.

    Convenient and comfortable hotel near Roma Termini station

    We stayed here two nights upon arrival in Rome to recuperate after a long-haul flight arriving in Italy before catching the train to onward destinations.We primarily chose Hotel Igea due to its proximity to Roma Termini train station.It is super convenient to get to and from the hotel to the train station, only a 5 minute walk.The room itself was basic but comfortable and clean and overall good value for money. A fridge would have been nice to allow us to keep cold water or drinks.Staff were very friendly and helpful. An issue with the booking after we left was promptly and professionally dealt with my hotel staff via email.
