2/5 very old very “broken” but nice location hotel

    rating04 Oct 2025

Nice location BUT that’s about it. The facilities were very old, hotel overall was VERY OLD, the walls had patches on them, toilet kept breaking down, extreme noise was heard at the 5th floor. Very weird to get to 5th floor as well, had to go up 4 floors with the lift then walk 2 corridors, and then climb another set of stairs to 5th floor. People from reception were nice though. To go on with my point, the room has a … peculiar smell. The shower was the type from 1990, in the exact form, not one repair has been done on this hotel for probabbly the last 15 years. This is unfortunate, since the location is very nice. In 2000 it was probably a very beautiful hotel, but very unkept nowadays.

Great Hotel in good location for sights

    rating11 Feb 2025

Just back from 4 nights at the Impero. We booked this as it had 24hr reception as our flight was not getting in till 0100.We got the bus from the airport and the hotel was only a 5 min walk to the Hotel. We felt very safe walking at that time as we had heard bad things about the area but it was totally fine. The hotel is in a great location for sights as only 20 min walk to colosseum, trevi and pantheon. The underground was easy to get to and use which we did for the Vatican(we walked back). The hotel itself is a little dated but perfect for what we needed and it was cleaned everyday. We didn't pay a lot so was amazed how good it was for the price. The hotel staff were amazing and nothing was a problem for them. Very nice, polite and helpful when we had any questions. We never ate here as we were going to be out most of the time so couldn't comment. We are definitely coming back to Rome and would be happy to stay here again.

    Not Recommended

    rating24 Jan 2025

I work in the tourism and hospitality industry, and the most important detail here is the service and experience the tourist can have anywhere. It was my first time in Rome, Italy, and I came with family members, a total of 7. We entered the hotel, and my sister asked the person in the reception area if they had available rooms. Well, my sister said, "Good afternoon," the woman in the reception area started to say no, even though my sister had not completed a sentence. I told the woman I had scrolled the internet and saw available rooms. The woman continued saying they were fully booked but with a terrible attitude. I asked her if she knew if the other hotel beside them had room availability, and she told me that the other hotel was small and unavailable. It is okay if she wants to sell her hotel, but do not lie; tell me you need to review it with them. So, as I am a curious person, I went to the other hotel that is not related to the first one. The woman at the reception was amazing to us. She found room for us, and the rooms were clean and pretty. I asked her about an electronics store because I had lost my mobile charger, and she gave me one charger to use during my stay. That is the difference between a bad and a good experience.

    Great hotel and location

    rating09 Nov 2024

We got an room upgrade which was nice, the towels were changed in a daily basis. The breakfast was very good but with few options for milk intolerant. The location was top, since it’s close to Piazza Della Republica and Termini. There are many nice restaurants nearby.
