Excellent stay in Rome! Perfect location, comfortable, good price.

Excellent location, great breakfast, and comfortable room. It is perfectly located for all major sightseeing, and easy to cross the bridge into the Trastevere district for dinner. Staff was friendly and helpful. Self check-in after 11:00 and guests are advised about quiet hours after 21:00. Expect some street noise in the morning because of the nearby market. Be advised that you must climb two flights of stairs to get to the elevator, so those with heavy luggage or bad knees may have a problem.

    Lovely stay

Stayed here for 2 nights and the location was superb! Close to tourist attractions and lots of bars/restaurants. Breakfast served comfortably in the room between 8am and 9.30am (you choose the time). Christina is a lovely host who is so welcoming and friendly. A very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend.

In the center of the center

An great choice if you want to be in the center of Rome. 5 min away from Trastevere ( region full of nightlife and youth), near to the bus stop and of course to many famous attractions. The room is as it looks in the pictures, big comfortable and very clean. I have nothing to say about the host. Very helpful and cheerful. We stayed 3 days and it worthed the money.

    Nothing short of exceptional.

This place was definitely a find in terms of location and quality. The ladies who look after you here are extremely helpful and welcoming. They were able to order a taxi for us to the airport at a very competitive rate and also let you know the important places to visit whilst in Roma.Breakfast is served every morning right on time. See the pictures for the selection you get. It is simple but it’s exactly what you want when getting ready to head out into Rome. The room itself 101 was wonderful and felt very hotel like. The bathroom was excellent and the place was very clean and tidy (they also leave small biscuits behind after they’ve cleaned which is a nice touch). The view out of the window was nice, I found the Air Con to do its job superbly and I never had any issue with noise from outside.I would definitely think of staying here again.

Good and convenient ... not boutique

The good Location is great walking distance to most things in Rome. Plenty of restaurants around, bars and shops around. We felt very safe and welcome. Cristina and Elena are truly wonderful, always a call/WhatsApp away and always with a smile. They really make this place special. The room (101) was spacious, the windows were very efficient at blocking outside noise. The only day we had an issue was on Saturday night! When we arrived we were really worried about the noise but it is really not a big issue. The room feels welcoming and it has some clever lighting, a kettle and a nesspreso, a handy mini fridge and some parabens-free toiletries. The room needs a coat of fresh paint and some other maintenance work, but overall is quite cool. Note for the girls: the room has a hair dryer and a straightener! Only in Italy right ?! The not so great:The room has a slight smell of drainage/mould every time you come back to the room ... the good news is that you stop noticing it after a couple of minutes. In room 101 there is a noise of water running that is difficult to explain. I believe it happens when the room upstairs uses the water... you hear the water pipes and splashes like if you were in a aquarium! I never experienced anything like that. On the positive note it does not last long. The insulation in between rooms is poor. We were lucky we did not have newlyweds next door *** correction on our last night we did hear “fireworks”... hilarious and uncomfortable at the same time ***I like the idea of breakfast in the room ... but it is a very simple breakfast. Coffee, orange juice flavored drink, small croissant, French toast, jam, butter, Nutella, and yoghurt. If you want more coffee you can ask for it, we found ourselves asking for more coffee almost every morning. The excellent... the location! Thinking about it, it is better than good ;) Verdict: next time in Rome I will explore new options but I will also consider staying again at the JB Relais. The price was quite competitive ;) that is always a good thing!
