  There are no words to describe what Mr. Sergio represents at Hotel la Pergola. He is much more than a concierge. In addition to mastering almost all languages, he is extremely cultured, elegant and polite. helpful and kindly informs everything the guest needs or wants to know. Our suggestion is that he is honored and can occupy a prominent place in the La Pergola group.   Friendly, comfortable Hotel. Easy reach to centre of Rome. Good value for Budget Accommodation. Would happily return.

  Hotel close to Metro Station with easy travel into centre of Rome. Supermarket, shops, cafes and restaurants close by. Room comfortable with en-suite, towels changed daily and bed made. Breakfast Buffet offering freshly made coffee, croissants/pastries, toast, ham, cheese, and cereals. Staff very friendly with big shout out to Sergio on Reception, very knowledgeable and always happy welcoming and happy to see us. No dining options other than breakfast, but plenty of places to sit and relax with drinks purchased from local shops. It was a great base for us to spend a few days in Rome.   The room is very big, with a bath and comfortable bed. The cleanness is great. The staff is very nice and accommodating, great help and advices! The breakfast was ok, not spectacular but very basic.   Comfortable and clean place to lay a weary head after sight seeing in blazing hot Rome. Air conditioned rooms and daily cleaned rooms.   This hotel was just too far from the centre of Rome but thankfully close to the Metro which was simple to use.We did not realise it was so far out of town but we managed.We stayed for 4 nights.Jonnio on reception was brilliant, spoke great English and very knowledgeable and gave us great tips and a map to help us on our way.Pillows were flat and hard, no A/C unfortunately.Very clean and bathroom was great.Breakfast was great, good coffee.No bar service at night when we wanted a drink and we ate across the road at a nice Restaurant. massimo ganbelunghe, Direttore generale at Hotel La Pergola, responded to this review Dear Jan H,Thank you for your review of Hotel La Pergola. It seems that the hotel was a bit far from the centre of Rome, but fortunately close to the metro, making transport easier to manage.It is good to know that Gianni at reception was fantastic during your stay. The fact that he spoke excellent English and was well prepared to provide useful tips and a map of the city is definitely a plus point for the hotel.I was sorry to hear that the pillows were flat and hard and that there was no air conditioning available. The air conditioning is there and works very well.Bed comfort and room temperature are important aspects of a comfortable stay.On the other hand, it is good to know that the hotel was very clean and the bathroom was very good. Cleanliness is always an important factor for a pleasant stay.You enjoyed the breakfast, which was great, and the good coffee.
