  Hidden gem close to Vatican city

  This is a hidden gem right next to the Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Square and a small walk away from the metro.The hosts are amazing and super friendly.Only thing to note is the size of the shower on the room we got, but other than that, it was perfect for us.

  We have just left after a 3 night stay here and both of us were very pleased with the room and service. Great location being very close to the Vatican and the metro. Our room and bathroom were both very clean and breakfast was great, delivered to your room each morning. My only fault I could pick with this place is that the mattresses were a little uncomfortable. My partner slept well however I could feel the springs underneath. Over all I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

  Excellent location.Extremely helpful and accommodating hosts. Reasonable nightly price.Tourist spots and great restaurants are within walkable distances.Great commute options to visit all the attractions Rome and Vatican City has to offer.

  We were a group of 18 family and friends who stayed and occupied the entire B&B Perseo and the entire B&B Laocoonte from Oct. 3-7, 2018 before our Mediteranean cruise. My husband and I stayed at Laocoonte in 2011, and decided that the B&B is not fancy but certainly a good value for our money. Our host, Hiromi, was very welcoming when we checked in. Laocoonte is on the second floor of one of the buildings fronting a courtyard. The B&B, located in a residential area, is decent, clean and smoke-free. It is a short 18-minute walk to St. Peter’s Basilica. There are 4 rooms, each of which has a small fridge, a safe, a closet, and working AC. Beds are comfortable, and the host provided more pillows as requested. The bathrooms are well-kept and tidy, and provided with shampoo/conditioner, soaps and fresh towels. Water pressure is good. Wifi is fast and reliable. The Italian breakfast, brought to our rooms daily, consisted of cappuccino and croissant that are always fresh and hot, yogurt, and orange juice. Hiromi went out of her way to serve an early breakfast on the Wednesday that we attended the Papal audience. The place is secure and safe as you need 3 keys to get to your room – one for the gate, one for the building door, and one for the room. The hosts, Giordano and Hiromi, made our stay comfortable. Both of them are a wealth of information not only regarding Rome attractions, but also necessities such as eating places and laundromats. Laocoonte offers useful amenities including a phone to use in case of emergency, Rome maps, business cards of gelato stores and restaurants, a hot/cold water dispenser, teas and instant coffee, and candies.The B&B feels like home because we see our hosts only in the morning so we had the place to ourselves. The hosts even arranged for our three transfers - pickup from Rome airport to the B&B, B&B to Civitavecchia, and Civitavecchia to airport, all at very reasonable costs.

  We could not fault this place, it is a small friendly B&B, it is very clean and the owners are very nice, we came here for a weekend get away and would definitely stay here again. It is located 5 mins from the Vatacan City and there are lots of cafes and bars to choose from. Perfect
