Located in Prati Rome. A little quieter area with good restaurants. Walking distance to the Vatican and other sites. Nice hotel. Good amenities. Very helpful staff.

    Best Location in Rome!!

    rating22 May 2026

We stayed at Le Meridien for 5 nights in May 2026. I was a bit concerned with the construction when we arrived, but the warm welcome from the bell staff and front desk quickly quieted any concerns. Everything was top notch:- check in: friendly, efficient, informative and flawless- room: well equipped, comfortable, everything we needed and more, incredibly spacious bathroom- breakfast: incredible service, quality and a lovely offering on the buffet- courtyard cafe: again attentive and lovely service, amazing quality and fair prices- rooftop bar: innovative and delicious cocktails and limited but tasty food options The location is a perfect balance of quiet, close to attractions and loads of great shops and restaurants in the neighborhood. I works stay here and recommend this hotel without hesitation. It was truly a perfect stay.

This is a nice hotel in a very good location for sightseeing and dining. The Vatican and other popular sights are about one mile away. There are many excellent restaurants within a short walk as well. The breakfast buffet was very good. The rooftop bar was fair. Overall the stay was very good. We would stay there again.

    Worse than a Motel 6...

    rating11 May 2026

As a Marriott Titanium Elite member as someone who has traveled to Europe multiple times, this was one of the most disappointing Marriott experiences I have had. For the price of the room, I expected a LOT more. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. I placed a request for an upgrade 8 months in advance, since I had them available in my Marriott account. We checked multiple times before our arrival and could not get an answer. We tried checking in around 11 and even then, they were not able to confirm the upgrade, which is ridiculous. They either have the room or they don't, pretty simple. Once we got into the room, that was yet another disappointment as we were told it was a king with a twin. What we actually got was 3 twins. But wait, there is more disappointment to come. Got into the shower and the shower head was leaking and sprayed everything in the bathroom... All the toiletries... Everything! Called the front desk for towels and maintenance. Nothing. 2 hours later, I went to the front desk to inquire again, not sure what happened. It was fixed by the time we got back from dinner. My daughter took a shower and went to use the blow dryer and soon as we turned it on, it caught on fire. For real. We went to the front desk again, they didn't bring us a new hair dryer. Too many problems at this hotel and we expected a higher quality hotel. We won't be back. Olga Beloglazova, Guest Services / Front Office at Le Meridien Visconti Rome, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially as a valued Marriott Titanium Elite member.Your comments have been shared with the management team so the appropriate departments can address these concerns and improve our service standards. We would like to kindly clarify that room upgrades are always based on availability at the time of arrival and cannot be guaranteed in advance. While we do our best to accommodate upgrade requests for our valued Marriott Titanium Elite members, final confirmation depends on occupancy and room availability on the day of check-in.We apologize for any misunderstanding and regret that your expectations were not met during your stay.Thank you again for taking the time to provide detailed feedback.Kind regards,OlgaGuest Relation Team

1 Star – Marriott Loyalists Should Avoid This Property

    rating10 May 2026

As a Marriott Titanium Elite member and Lifetime Platinum member, and as someone who has traveled to Europe more than 25 times, this was one of the most disappointing Marriott experiences I have had.Prior to arrival, the hotel had already honored my upgrade certificates for a deluxe room that accommodated three people. My reservation clearly involved traveling with my wife and child. However, when we arrived and the hotel saw that we were actually a party of three, they refused to honor my corporate discount and effectively doubled the price of the stay. This felt completely unreasonable and very disappointing, especially given my long-term loyalty to Marriott. Rather than feeling valued as a loyal guest, I felt penalized for traveling with my family despite the room type already being approved before arrival. If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member who expects loyalty, consistency, and fair treatment, I would strongly recommend avoiding Le Méridien Visconti Rome. This property does not reflect the level of service or loyalty recognition I expect from Marriott. Le Meridien Visconti Rome, Owner at Le Meridien Visconti Rome, responded to this review Dear T8349DDericc,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay at Le Méridien Visconti Rome. We truly appreciate your loyalty as a Marriott Titanium Elite and Lifetime Platinum member, and we are grateful for your continued support over the years. We regret to hear that certain aspects of your experience fell below expectations. Your comments are important to us, and we want to assure you that they are being carefully reviewed to help us better understand and address areas where we can improve. However, although you received a NUA guarantee, the reservation was still booked for one guest only. As per your rate policy, the price differs depending on whether the reservation is made for one guest or for multiple guests.Thank you again for your valuable input, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more seamless and enjoyable experience in the future.Warm regards,Noemi Front Desk Shift Leader
