Location

This city hotel is situated on one of the most beautiful hills in Rome: Montemario. It is just 15 min by public transport from the city centre and from the Vatican Museum. The Olympic stadium is 3 km from the accommodation and the Piazza di Spagna are some 8 km away. Rome's Leonardo da Vinci and Ciampino airports are 35 km and 45 km from the hotel respectively.

Facility

10 junior suites, 4 suites, 21 single rooms and 69 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities.     Basic hotel away from the city.

    The stairs on the outside have a slight tilt and some steps are beginning to wear away. We checked in smoothly and was informed city tax was cash only. We knew about the city tax but not it being cash only. Luckily the hotel had an ATM where we could withdraw cash (ATM has a charge) we was also informed the breakfast times and bar times. The hotel also advertises a swimming pool which was not available during our stay. We entered our superior room to find a toilet, bidet, shower all clean. 2 disposable cups and 2 toilet rolls. The bed was 2 twin frames pushed together with 2 twin mattresses which was a shame as they kept separating and one was slightly higher than the other. The 2 beds were attached by sheets and a duvet so by the time the morning came there was a crater in the middle of the 2 beds. The hotel is doable to the city if you don’t mind a 20 minute walk to train station or 5 minute walk to bus stop. Bus 913 takes you near Vatican museum and then to piazza Cavour. So you can walk from there to major tourist attractions or change transportation. The entire commute to the city can be from 40 minutes to an hour. During our stay the disposable cups were not replaced until day 6. And we had to ask for more toilet rolls during our stay as they hadn’t been replaced when empty. WiFi was a bit poor but it was functional.The swimming pool is only available June - September which is unfortunate as weather hit 26c whilst we were here and a dip in the pool would have been nice. Restaurant was also not available during our stay. Bar/cafe was also not always open during the hours it was listed to be open.The breakfast from the restaurant is basic unless you like a selection of 15+ cakes in the morning the savoury options are limited.

    My wife booked the hotel for my 60th birthday, the hotel is quite a distance from the Capital of Room and also the airports.My wife requested something special for my visit and to be fair was disappointed.The room was basic, the wardrobe was broken and the shower unit is very small.No Coffee and tea facilities in the room, the breakfast was very good with a quite good choice.The disappointing thing was there was no where to eat in the hotel after breakfast the bar area was so small to sit down

    Disappointing hotel. 4 stars is definitely a big stretch. Hotel is run down & tired. Roadway to hotel full of large potholes. Entrance to hotel was massively flooded & had a couple of bricks in the huge puddle to act as pedestrian access. Inside hotel was chipped paintwork & ripped curtains. TV worked for a little while if you unplugged it then plugged it back in, after which the sound went off completely Rooms were basic however they were clean & shower pressure was good. Our door didn’t lock without slamming,which we found out after we’d been out all day & it just unlatched with a light push. Breakfast was grim. Tinned fruit cocktail, big bowls of tinned sweetcorn (?) , cheap ham & cheese. Plenty cake if you want that for breakfast. Lukewarm coffee from self serve machines. The only hot offerings were cheap hotdogs & rubber/tasteless egg. Dining room was cold. On Sunday morning they had run out of butter, on Monday morning there was still none. I don’t understand why someone couldn’t someone go to a store for some ?

    Internet is horrendous, the lady at the reception is dumb, does not know how to do her own job, toilet doesn't work, you ask for seperate beds and they dont give you what you asked for. If you want something or there is a problem, wait for the nice male receptionist to come at like 3 PM, the lady in the morning is not capable to listen and actually do her job, she just wants you to go away as soon as possible. Breakfast is whatever, its just mid and dry, and the walls are thin, can hear people talking in the room next to me.

    Location abit far from city centre but used the bus 913 to get there very easy but busy.Atmosphere was great Rooms were okay need updating and tidying up.Value for money was fineClean but the drains were disgusting, turned the tap on and the bathroom started bubbling and water poured out from by the toilet. Very bad smell from drains.No noise at all.Restaurant at evening was closed just a little cafe, not many food places to go. Maybe consider opening for people to be able to have a proper meal at evening.
