  Very Disappointing!

  Very disappointed. First, we booked for 5 nights in their biggest, most expensive room. We paid extra for early (10am) check in (that they offered on their website) - was not available when we got there - and staff didnt acknowledge - Second, our travel plans changed (tour guides etc.) and we needed to check out earlier, they were not flexible at all, I understand I paid the lower rate when I booked, but it felt like was being punished for paying full amount in advance - Finally, I am glad we left anyway because there were ANTS, especially on the bed (looks like they were coming from behind the headboard - when we told the staff when we left (after two nights) we were told "we will look into it" - not even an apology Mercure Roma Corso Trieste, Direttore generale at Mercure Roma Corso Trieste, responded to this review Dear Michael,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Once you arrived, our team did its best to make your room available as quickly as possible, and within approximately 30 minutes you were able to check in. To apologize for the inconvenience, we provided you with two vouchers for complimentary drinks at the bar. We are sorry if this efforts was not perceived as such at the time.We are also sorry that you felt a lack of flexibility regarding your early departure. As your reservation was made under a prepaid preferential rate, the conditions were indeed more restrictive, but we understand that travel plans can change and that this may have felt frustrating.Regarding the ants you mentioned upon departure, we are truly sorry for the inconvenience. Your room includes a private outdoor terrace, and despite the regular preventive treatments we carry out in all exterior areas, such situations can unfortunately occasionally occur. Of course, this does not make your experience any less unpleasant, and our team checked the area immediately after your report.That said, we are truly saddened that none of these concerns were brought to the attention of a manager during your stay. Our team is currently composed of young staff members who are still in training, and while this does not excuse any lack of response, it does mean that they are learning every day how to better handle difficult situations. Had we been given the opportunity to speak with you while you were still in-house, we would have done our utmost to find an immediate solution and improve the rest of your stay.It is always disappointing for us to discover these issues only through a public review, especially when we genuinely care about our guests’ comfort and satisfaction.   Fabulous Hotel made better with excellent staff.. Filipo, Joir, Genesis.. so professional, friendly and helpful and fun.. Staff can make a place and they definetly enjoy working in this hotel and it shows.. looking after the customer was priority for them.. food here was superb, rooms beautiful..   Nice Hotel in Lovely Neighbourhood

  Good sized rooms compared to central Rome hotels. Cleaned well. AC was non existent somaybe hot in summer. Lovely neighbourhood with plenty of places to eat at and visit. Breakfast had a hood selection however, we went out most mornings toImmerse ourself in the local area. Metro station nearby with easy connection to Termini and other tourist areas. Overall much preferred this hotel to our choice close tonthe Colesseum. During your stay, the evening temperatures were still quite fresh, so the system was not fully activated throughout the hotel in order to reduce unnecessary energy consumption and limit environmental impact.We are also glad you found a good selection at breakfast, while making the most of the local area during your stay.Thank you again for your kind words.   Nice hotel in quiet area of Rome

  The hotel is located in nice and safe area of Rome, about 3 metro stops to city centre. Staff very friendly and room was very clean and quiet. We enjoyed the stay just the breakfast was a bit disappointed. Many items were not filled and mostly of them were cold, even if on the middle of breakfast time. But overall we liked the hotel
