Just out of town and a good spot

    rating10 Mar 2026

Visited this hotel for the Italy v England Six Nations weekend as part of a package. While slightly out of the city centre (to the East), the tube is super close and it's just three stops to Termini, so absolutely perfect. We did bed and breakfast and the offering was great - loads of choice and replenished pretty quickly. The coffee machines were a bit temperamental and/or slow. The staff here are all great - very cheerful and helpful. The room we stayed in had a decent sized bathroom while the room itself was a little on the small side, but fine really. There was a huge TV in the room but very few channels you'd want to watch or that are in English. We didn't visit the bar but it seemed to stock all the essentials. In terms of restaurants / places to eat and drink in the local area, there isn't, frankly, an abundance. We did find a couple of decent places after some short walks but don't expect to be absolutely spoilt for choice, considering where the hotel is. The hotel is very clean throughout and we had no issues with that at all. The only gripe I had really was that the shower pressure was pretty rubbish. Good breakfast 3 stops from Termini and 5 from Colosseum by metro. Very friendly staff. During check in we were told everything: Receptionist gave us map, recommended few restaurants, explain all the policy for breakfast and room. Very good pomegranate juice during breakfast. Very friendly ladies on the breakfast. Really nice stay. Great location

    rating19 Jul 2025

Just three stops on the subway from Rome termini and then a couple of minutes walk from the station makes this an ideal spot to stay . In the suburbs from the crowds and a good deal of bars and restaurants in the surrounding streets . The room was spacious and clean. Enough variety at breakfast and the reception staff were very friendly and recommended nearby eateries .The only let down was the bar which opened in the evening . Trying to find the barman and then trying to get your drinks within 30 min of ordering was difficult, even though we were the only patrons as others gave up the wait . This is an ideal hotel to stay in when visiting Rome Marco Ministeri, Other at Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your kind feedback regarding our location and the service provided by our reception staff. Good helpful Staff but Hotel has problems with AC

    rating08 Jun 2025

Our AC was just not working properly in all 4 days. We had complained every day. The staff tried to resolve every day but the AC used to become ineffective again in a few hours. So thats where we were very disappointed. I think we should have asked for a room change instead. But we kept believing in the hotel every day. :-( Otherwise the hotel staff is nice, break fast is good, location is a little off from city centre but then it is conveniently located on the metro line B. So travelling to excursions in the city is not a problem. Marco Ministeri, Other at Mercure Roma Piazza Bologna, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your positive feedback regarding our helpful staff and the enjoyable breakfast during your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the air conditioning in your room. We understand how crucial a comfortable environment is for our guests. We assure you that our A/C is on 24/7 and can be controlled by guests in each room and that, as a Greek Key certified hotel, we respect the environment following the Italian Government temperature rules. We are glad to hear that you found our location to be convenient for accessing the metro and exploring the city.Thank you once again for your comments, and I hope to welcome you back for a more enjoyable experience in the future.Best regards,Camilla CIPOLLA Guest Relation Agent

    Great hotel in quiet neighborhood.

    rating15 May 2025

A nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast had a large variety to choose from .Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. A little out of the way unless you take the metro. Many of us did not avail ourselves because we were unfamiliar with the system. Many of us ended up using taxis. Nice little bar in the lobby and staff was helpful. Had maps to help navigate around Rome.
