Mum and son trip to Rome. Brilliant place, very easily accessible for the terminal and other major sights. The Colliseum is 10 minutes walk. Safe area, would book here again

    Constructions+annoying staff+extremely poor soundproof

    rating08 Feb 2026

Pros:The room was clean and the location is very central. That’s unfortunately where the positives end. I honestly don’t understand why this place has so many good reviews.First of all, this is not really a hotel, despite how it’s advertised. On top of that, the building is under construction, which is not mentioned anywhere beforehand. The soundproofing is extremely poor - you can literally hear breathing, movements from other rooms, and every step in the corridor. Getting proper sleep here was almost impossible. To make things worse, there was active construction right under my window, with workers talking loudly from early morning.Another major issue was constant knocking on my door starting around 8:00 AM. When I arrived, there was no receptionist at the desk - a handyman checked me in and said I could pay the city tax at checkout. The next morning around 8–8:30 AM, the receptionist knocked on my door insisting I pay immediately because she was leaving soon.I hoped at least Sunday morning would be quiet, but again at 8:30 AM someone knocked on my door, woke me up, and said “ah no, nothing.” About an hour later, the same thing happened again - it felt like they were just checking whether I was still inside.Once again: you can hear everything in this building. In the end, I got almost no proper rest. All of this seriously affected my stay in beautiful Rome - instead of enjoying it, I felt exhausted and irritated.I would not recommend this place if you value sleep or basic privacy.

    Perfect stay

    rating04 Oct 2025

Brilliant! Spent 2 nights here while in Rome and it was a brilliant place to stay with a perfect location. The staff were lovely, my single room (11) was small but perfect for my needs & was spotlessly clean, air conditioning was also appreciated. The additional little extras in the kitchen areas (coffee., popcorn, granita/sushi and ice machines) were all very much appreciated. Was able to leave my bag while I spent my final day in Rome and use the facilities when I returned to collect it. Good communication & easy check in. Thanks to Barbara & the team, I will book again if I'm back in Rome

A rare old building, comfortable rooms in central Rome.

    rating11 Oct 2023

This building is about 800 years old and right by the metro. we had no trouble finding it and called the # to be let in. You use codes to go through each door. The room was comfortable. Breakfast is included, but I wouldn't waste my calories. The juice, tea, milk and coffee is fine. Food options are corn flake, melba toast and a packaged croissant. We used the kitchen area for our take out meals too. You can do some light cooking there. You need to clean up after yourself, which is fair. We were shocked at the 7 euro per person per night city tax you pay in person. Lots of great restaurants and historical sites in walking distance. Overall pretty quiet, safe and very very clean. I would stay here again.

    Good

    rating10 Jul 2023

Was very pleasantly surprised by the place. It looked a little sketchy coming upstairs but once inside it is nicely renovated and clean. The place seems safe but it was hard to get the door to the room to lock with the keypad. The AC is good and bed is not bad. The wifi is very bad and nearly non existent in the room but in the common spaces it worked fine though it was slow. For the price, this is a good place.
