    Truly a Hidden Gem

    rating21 Mar 2026

Wonderful location at the very entrance to St. Peter’s Square. Rooms (and bathrooms) a bit small, but very comfortable. Great breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our second stay and we will be back!

Lovely hotel in an amazing location

    rating18 Mar 2026

This is a such a lovely hotel. Once you walk in you step away from the hustle and bustle outside. Everyone is friendly, the rooms clean and such a lovely place to have as a base.We have shown as five stars because it felt really special. There a few things to be aware, our room looked out on a road so was really noisy, and as we were unable to get the air-conditioning working it was not the best night's sleep. The other area which surprised was no tea making facilities. I don't think these mark the place down but more to be aware.

    Friendly and Great Location

    rating17 Feb 2026

Stayed at this hotel 05.02.26 - 08.02.26 in a double room on the 4th Floor (405). Our room was spacious and clean, with housekeeping attending to the room each day and providing fresh towels. As noted in other reviews the bathroom was small; however, functional for what you need it for. The shower was powerful and the water was always hot regardless of the time we had a shower. Breakfast was provided with a good selection of hot or cold options and we were greeted with a warm welcome each morning by the staff. Guests also get a 'Gospel of the Day' note each day under the door, which was nice. Reception Staff were lovely with warm welcome on check-in and each time we left the hotel and came back after a day of sightseeing. The main door to the hotel is closed at 3pm each day but they provide a code so you can come and go as you please. Check out is 11:00 am and reception will hold your bags if you need them to. Reception ask if you need any assistance with calling a taxi, so handy for those who would be using them, however we walked everywhere and used the Shuttle Bus from the airport with the Vatican drop off stop not to far from the hotel and only cost 5 euro each way. This hotel is in a great location next to St Peter's Basilica, so is handy for doing the early entrance to avoid the queues and what can be a long wait. Also beneficial for visiting the Vatican Museum. Other tourist sights are walkable from the hotel which is a good way to explore Rome and the vast cobbled streets, buildings, restaurants and of course Aperol Spritz or Limoncello Spritz. Roughly 40 mins walk to the Colosseum, 25 to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. There are restaurants nearby the hotel so no chance of going hungry. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Rome.

    Best Possible Vatican Centric Location

    rating07 Nov 2025

The location is off the chart. We stayed in Superior Double for three nights. Room was nice sized, super clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was European average especially missing cooked to order eggs. Staff is professional, accommodating and Reception gets an A+. We are planning to be in Rome next October and plan to stay at the Hotel again. Note that events affecting a large Vatican crowd can make vehicle access to the hotel extremely difficult and as on All Saints and Souls Days it was impossible .
