    Rome . May 2026

We were put on the 5th floor which is the older floor not modernised and pretty outdated needs tlc also lift only goes to 4th floor so if you have any mobility issues ask for lower floor. Walls pretty thin can hear other guests shower hit and miss with temperature. Breakfast 10 euros plenty of choice and options. Staff all pretty friendly and helpful. Bar open till 9:30 pm but we never saw anyone on there to order a drink from . Good location all attractions in reasonable distance few nice restaurants and bars nearby. Overall pretty happy quiet place good rest to recharge before more exploring.

    Ruined birthday

    rating11 May 2026

I was really disappointed with my stay at Hotel Patria. When we arrived, the room looked nothing like the photos online. It was old, dated, and the furniture was dirty. There were even hairs on the bedding, which immediately made the room feel unhygienic and poorly maintained. We told the hotel staff this, they did not care and we were told we had to pay €60 per night for a better room. Before arriving, I mentioned that the trip was for my partner’s birthday and asked what the hotel could offer for the occasion. They sent over a document listing different birthday extras and services, but strangely, none of the things included in the document were actually available or offered during our stay. It felt very misleading and unprofessional When we raised concerns about the room, staff told us we had only paid for a “standard” room — despite there being only one room option available when booking a year ago. It didnt specify anywhere the tiers of rooms. We then felt pressured into paying an extra €300 just to get moved into a better room, which was extremely frustrating and felt misleading. This felt as though this was planned by the hotel and maybe a plot to make people pay more. On arrival, we also asked to borrow an iron, but were told they couldn’t provide one due to “health and safety” reasons. Reception directed us to a nearby ironing service, only for us to find out it had shut down. We ended up buying our own iron, and later discovered hotel staff had taken it from our room without informing us. We weren't allowed it back until we left.Breakfast was another disappointment. The food sat under hot lights all morning without being refreshed, leaving most of it rubbery and unappetising. There was also very little choice available. Some staff were were really lovely but the standards have let this hotel down.Overall, this hotel did not match the standards advertised online and the service throughout our stay was poor. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the hotel Patria, after reading many of the reviews we were sceptical. Firstly ideally situated close the rail station, and manageable walks to most attractions,Room was good and modern, 3rd floor, Air conditioned, although a bit hit and miss, room cleaned every day, we found all members of staff very helpful, the breakfast had plenty of choices. We would like to say a very big thank you to Dennis who manned the reception, and to Alessandro the bar manager, both of them went above and beyond to make our stay welcome, we can also recommend the restaurant a few yards away from the Hotel, called Target.

Nice staff, not the best hotel I'd ever stayed in, won't be going back anytime soon

    rating10 Feb 2026

So I stayed at hotel patria for 4 nights, the staff were brilliant I can't fault them, very friendly and willing to help, however the room I was given was not the best, the first 4 floors have all new rooms... So if your unfortunate to be given a room in the 5th floor it will be very outdated, draws were all dirty, walls are paper thin, some VERY rude individual was banging on the walls all because I had the telly on at about 10pm, didn't have the decency to knock on the door and ask me politely to turn it down...No... LETS BANG AS HARD AS WE CAN, clown! Also the lift doesn't go to the 5th floor so you have to go to the 4th and walk up the stairs the rest of the way... Which isn't a problem for myself... But when you find the cleaning staff leave bags all at the bottom of the stairs and I have to climb over them what good is that to anyone, it also poses a risk incase there was a fire because the stairs are completely cut off, I would say this issue needs addressing. And last of all the area isn't great, scam artist everywhere you go... Can't have a peaceful drink without being heckled by these "doctors and engineers" I can honestly say I won't be going back to Rome in a hurry anytime soon.

Stayed at the Hotel Patria for 3 nights recently in a Superior room which was roomy with a lovely bathroom. The hotel was booked as room only but we decided to have breakfast. This consisted of fresh and tinned fruit, yoghurt, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, cold meats, salad.Pastries included croissants ,pain au Chocolat, Danish and delicious shortbread with various toppings. Found the juice a little weak but plenty of tea and coffee on offer for 10€ for bfast. Tea and coffee available in room but no milk. Great staff special mention to Daniel ..we ll now be following Juventus now! and Angelo for their help.
