Great combination of location, cleanliness and price

    rating29 Apr 2026

We are just back from a 5 night stay. The hotel is in a good location, we were able to walk to the Coliseum in 25 minutes, and the Spanish Steps in 35 minutes. It is also close to several Metro stations, and there are plenty of mid-range restaurants within 200m. There is also a good supermarket across the road. The reception staff were always welcoming, and there was a delightful hand-written note and some very tasty biscuits in our room when we arrived. The room was simple and spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable for us. The area is busy, but the double-glazing was superb in terms of cancelling out the noise at night. We slept brilliantly! We booked on a room only basis so cannot comment on the quality of the breakfast. We would definitely book here again, we found it an excellent combination of location and price. It is a relatively small hotel, and has no fancy amenities, but suited us as we wanted just such a base to explore Rome. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so wonderful!

    the worst hotel experience

    rating11 Nov 2023

hotel situated in a dirty and unsafe area, but the service provided by the family owners was well below standard. For example, they insisted we couldn’t leave hotel without surrendering our room keys at the front desk, even when some of us were resting in our rooms. What left me deeply offended was when a staff member shouted at me and ordered me to come down for a passport check as I was simply looking for the fire exit routes in the corridor. It was then that I realized I was under surveillance by the CCTV cameras scattered around the building.

    Worst ever customer service

    rating15 Sept 2023

Made us pay a deposit twice. Were extremely rude and racist. Worst ever experience ever. Rooms smelled like they had been drenched in sanitser and were tiny. Made us wait when we checked in for 2 hours and refused to listen to the booking.com person to refund our deposit.

Very good hotel- would come again

    rating20 Jun 2023

Very nice stay in June. Clean room, fresh linnen, quiet rooms with a nice balcony ( good windows with perfect noise isolation ) . Family owned business, very polite and helpful! Good breakfast, more than you expect! Busstation right in front of the hotel. Supermarket few meters away and also an excellent gelateria right next corner. And don‘t get puzzled by the area- this is Rome. We felt absolutely safe, day and night!

Rude front desk/ Alarms went off!!

    rating15 Oct 2019

I arrived at the hotel on October2nd,2019 for a two night stay and I encounter one of the worst and rude front desk agent I ever come across. She started saying we are in Italy so I need to speak Italian which I told her I don’t only English then she rolled her eyes upset because I didn’t speak Italian . Rooms are in the small size , we have twin beds no comforters at all only bed sheets . Then when I asked for more towels she told me extras are 5€ , unbelievable!! You need to leave your room key at the front desk 😒!! Then the second day I was wake up by the fire alarm three times, front desk called to informed they were testing them which I later found out not even housekeeping staff was aware of this. I was never informed about this at check in then there were some construction at the hotel as well which again I was not informed. I couldn’t sleep at all decided to leave room so when I came back later in evening my room was not served by housekeeping at all. It was a total disappointment staying at this hotel, the good part was their WI-Fi which was high speed. I tried to contact hotel 4 times and I never got a respond to solve this issues. I suggest find another hotel, do not stay here.
