  We spent some nice days at Ripetta Rooms. The room was a bit worn but nice and clean. Very good location and nice staff. Quite cheep compaired to other hotels in the area. Fresh water and snacks in the mini bar every day - for free :-)

  My husband and I stayed at this hotel because it is a block away from Piazza del Popolo from where our tour departed the next morning at 8. The car service from aiport was welcoming and efficient. The room was good size, well equipped, clean, and bathroom was small but well equipped, modern and clean. Bed was a bit hard for me but pillows were good. I loved looking out the window from our second floor to watch all the action on the street below. We ran into housekeeping who was very friendly and asked if we needed anything. Rosa was the young lady who checked us in. She texted a message to my cell so that I could reach out to her in case we needed anything. I did reach out a couple times and she immediately responded. She was very attentive. The common areas are a bit worn and could use some attention but this is an ancient building in the heart of Rome’s tourist attraction so understandable. Our room had all required. The restaurants are plentiful and nearby. Via Condotti, Spanish steps, Trevino fountain are all within easy walking distance. Also from the piazza del Popolo there are stairs to the villa borghese gardens with beautiful sunset view of the rooftops of Rome.

  Great, convenient, clean, easy stay

  We were in Rome for business but came a couple days early to explore on our own, and chose Ripetta Rooms for it's location and the good reviews. The location indeed was great...quieter street (but you are in a city, so there is no such thing as a truly quiet place), easy access to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain...and more specifically, the meeting place of our tour which was just around the corner in the piazza. I saw many reviews complain about the rooms being dirty - all I can say is that our room was very clean along with the reception room. And yes, the room is small, but this is Europe and from my experience this room was a decent size compared to other truly tiny rooms we've stayed in. The shower was quite small, but again, Europe.What was truly tiny was the elevator (1 person and maybe 2 pieces of luggage). It was very much appreciated as we had many bags with us (long story) and got them up to level 2 and only had to carry them down 1 easy flight of stairs.There were plenty of restaurants nearby and the gelato shop around the corner is fantastic.

  An Unpleasant Experience

  The photos on this site have been filtered and staged. This at best is a hostel, not a hotel. The rooms are small and not comfortable. We arrived at 5:30 in the evening. We had to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The person who checked us in, and had us pay the tax at that time, in all other hotels I have stayed at this is done at check-out, left the building immediately once that was completed since the "reception hours" are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Unfortunately for us, the Ryder Cup was taking place in Rome and we could not find another place to stay or we would have left. I'm providing pictures of the entryway, stairs, and the always-vacant reception area.

  Entry is filthy dirty. So dirty I demanded to see my room before dragging my bag up the steps. There is no elevator. The tile in the bathroom had handprints all over it as if has never been wiped down and the shower area leaked and was moldy. I was not at all comfortable in the location either. It was dark and covered in trash. DO NOT STAY HERE.
