    Give yourself the full 3 hours to get to your gate and on your plane. Seriously. The new fingerprint/photograph system is slow and glitchy and many many people around us were missing flights.

    Booked this hotel through Qantas website using points - equivalent cash cost $1000 per night. Okay I realise it’s a jubilee year and everything costs more, but this was ridiculous. Firstly the key cards didn’t work upon check in and also the next morning. The room was so small you could not comfortably walk around the bed. The shower was so small that it opened on two sides and if you’re anything bigger than a size 12 you won’t fit in there! Breakfast was okay, the barista/coffee was the best part of breakfast. The scrambled eggs tasted of fish. Shuttle to the airport was a taxi costing €25, still better than the €40 the taxi to the hotel cost after dropping off the hire car at the airport. I would have to think the Hilton at the airport couldn’t be much worse - but at least closer!

    A great find when I was desperate

    Arriving in Rome at around midnight after my flight was delayed I needed some where to stay the night. Nothing available at the airport. I rang this hotel which had a room, 10 mjnutes by taxi. The man at reception was very accommodating. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous. He arranged a shuttle service to the airport next morning .

    Stayed at this hotel overnight between flights.We were able to access our room early which was great.The hotel was spotless with the staff constantly cleaning communal areas, the room was also very clean and minimalist, which we like.We walked to the beachfront within 20 minutes where we found beautiful seafood restaurants and a lovely wine bar that looked over the harbour.A great stop off for a night as it is only 10 minutes from the airport. We took a taxi from the airport which was €35 and the shuttle bus from the hotel the next morning was €10 per person, we booked the bus at reception.Would recommend this hotel if you are happy to walk to local bars and restaurants as the bar in the hotel did not appear to be open which was not a problem for us.Nice stay with nice staff
