    Bugs

The room was OK. However there were some bugs flying around and the bathroom had a smell that wouldn’t go away. Bit expensive for what it is

    The hotel full of mold

    rating14 Oct 2024

The most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in, absolutely everything smells of mold, everything is old, the Indonesian girl at the reception is incredibly unpleasant, a hotel that should be closed for health reasons, I don't know how no one has filed a complaint yet, and it's a health hazard.

Unforgettable stay in Rome , thank you Hotel St Valentino 🤠

    rating18 Jan 2024

EXCELLENT LOCATION & STAFF . The gentleman at the front desk checked me in in less than a minute. Kind and cordial . The Vatican was walking distance . Extremely safe neighborhood. Markets and important land marks are within walking distance . Also , I can’t even praise enough the ladies at the bar/food/drink counter at the San Valentino ..,In the morning I got my cappuccino and my zucco de arancia (OJ) ….and in the evening my aperol spritz with stucciono (snacks) …. Five stars ⭐️Beautiful Roman rooms and excellent staff to make your visit to Rome an unforgettable one ☝️

    Rundown

    rating04 Oct 2023

To begin with, this hotel mysteriously cancelled our reservation for the days around the Ryder cup and told us we could then rebook the room for more than 3 times the rate we had been given. We were lucky and found an Airbnb . We did have another separate reservation there for our last night in Rome and stayed there. In sum, it needs a serious refresh. Bathroom is really small and tired. Sink didn’t drain, floor threshold is coming off, floor in the room is dirty, and the bed had no blankets, just a sheet and a decorative skinny rectangular piece of fabric. Lampshades were old and torn. Front of hotel looks terrible. Some random wooden pallets stacked. The outside restaurant patio looks abandoned with furniture piled up, and there is a broken glass door. The saving grace is the location, walkable to restaurants and shopping.

    Disgusting & rude.

    rating22 Jun 2023

Disgusting, rude & without power. We opted to stay here for 5 nights while visiting Rome. Upon check in everything seemed normal. Once we made it to our room we discovered a dirty comforter on our bed and shoes marks as if someone has been stepping on the bedding. After checking out the shower I noticed that the ceilings are covered in mold and the toilet hardware was rusting. On our second night there we returned from an excursion ant 10pm and found that lobby & hallway lights were working but our room was pitch black. The lights & air conditioning were not working. Our television & certain power outlets would work though. This would lead many to believe a fuse was blown within the property. We went downstairs to alert the front desk and were blown off. He said it would be back soon. We went back to our room to sit in darkness for an hour until making our way back downstairs for an update. 3 other guests were also waiting for an update as they were experiencing the same issue. The man at the front desk was obviously overwhelmed and was getting zero feedback from his manager or the “electric company”. While we were waiting another couple was trying to check in and got into a heated argument with the man at the front desk where they yelled at each other for 5 minutes. After this settled down we asked the other employee that was down there for an update and he scoffed at us & told me to call the electric company for myself. We went back up to our rooms to attempt to sleep but could not due to the employees sitting outside our window and smoking & being loud. Our power did not come back on until 5:30am. I have tried to reach out to the hotel multiple times for some type of refund, at least for one night and they have called me a liar & refused to refund. They also state that this was an outage in the area and not a fuse blown however all other bars, restaurants and hotels in the area had power. The street lights were also on all night. The hotel lobby and hallways also had power & were not the emergency lights like the hotel has tried to claim. DO NOT STAY HERE.
