  Great location across from Rome’s main train stationI had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Siracusa. The location is excellent right across from Rome’s main train station which makes it very convenient for arrivals and day trips. The hotel is on Via Marsala and it is easy to find because there are signs inside the station pointing in that direction.The staff were friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Christina, Sara, and Simone for their helpful service. I was also impressed that the head of housekeeping stopped by my room to check if everything was comfortable. That personal touch was appreciated.The beds were comfortable and the Wi Fi was fast and reliable.Overall a comfortable stay in a very convenient location.

  Great location - rude security guard!

  This was a school trip visit with 40 students & 4 staff. the hotel is in a brilliant location - great for the train station and the city centre. It felt a safe location and lots of little shops/cafes etc for the student's to use. The breakfast had lots of choice and great luggage storage for the day we needed. The staff didn't look like they enjoying their job and weren't friendly or particularly helpful. The evening security guard was rude, loud and officious. He spoke to the students in a very inappropriate manner and kept waking up staff - that couldn't hear any noise. He could have been a huge asset to the hotel & staff leading trips but abused his position. If the hotel are to welcome school parties they need to work on their offer and put the rooms of students together rather than spreading them round the hotel.

  Decent stay in Rome

  My partner and I were worried about staying here after reading the summer reviews but we had a good stay here. Staff were friendly, breakfast had variety. The room was clean. Yes the hotel and rooms are dated but for a few nights it meets the needs of travellers. It is right near the main station and centre of Rome so it is noisy which is to be expected. If you want quiet don't stay in the centre of Rome. Overall we were happy with our stay

  So firstly the positives. The Hotel is across the street from Termini Station. The staff are friendly and helpful.We had a family room on the fourth floor at the rear. That helped to minimise street noise. Then there was the hotel noise. The rooms have these big heavy wooden doors and a key with a heavy keyring. If the doors are not carefully closed they bang loudly. This happened several times especially late at night.The Aircon in our room was poor and the room was like a sauna. The furnishings are old and scruffy. There is no shower screw or curtain. So it was difficult to shower without flooding the bathroom and seeping through to the bedroom.All in all a disappointment.

  Okay for a place to rest your head but nothing more

  Great location next to the Rome train station, and okay for a place to spend a few nights if you don't intend on spending much time on premises. The breakfast offered was a pleasant surprise. Front desk service was very helpful when asking to store our luggage for the day.
