    EXCEEDED ONLINE EXPECTATIONS

    I am not sure whether the photos on Tripadvisor are up to date but I was pleasantly suprised that the rooms we're more modern and clean than what the photos showed but still holding the great Italian artistry. The staff we're super helpful, like sit down with you for 10 minutes and go through the city with you, tell you where to eat, what metros and buses to take, kind of helpful.Locationwise, it is bang central. If you are going on any excrusions then the meeting point for those is a 12 min walk from the excrusion point and I know that others walked 30 mins to get there.Nothing bad to say but exceeded expectations by quite a way from the advertised photos I saw. Finally, there wasn't any breakfast included however they did provide crossiants, bottled water and coffee at reception which was very nice.

    You pay for the location for sure, which is only a 5-10 minute walk to Trevi fountain, 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. The water smelled horrendous and the shower had no pressure. The walls were dirty and it overall did not feel clean. The beds are hard and the pillows are as flat as pancakes!

    Great location close to many sites and a short walk to metro. Room was comfortable with minimal amenities. Bed was quite hard but we were able to sleep well. Walls were thin. We could hear the tv and talking in the room next door. Hotel was run by young people on duty from 8-8 each day. They had run out of maps the day before we arrived and none came in while there.

    Air con not what it seems!

    This hotel, yes is in a good location. Room 105 was v nice. However, Hard bed and uncomfortable pillows. Yet!…. Please be aware that on booking.com this hotel says individual room air conditioning is included! My partner and I had the air con on as we are hot people. On the second day we received a note stating the air con wasn’t allowed on as the other rooms couldn’t have the heat on. Now that means there isnt individual air con systems. I don’t know, but leaving a note like this and no one explaining the meaning of the note was my first bug bearer with this hotel. My second problem was when the manager/owner banged on our door and when answered shouted at my face “what is the problem?” I stated we had the air con on and as it is stated on booking twice actually we were in our rights to have it on. The manager who was very very rude continued to shout at me, the receptionist had to translate. I refused to talk to him as he was so rude. My partner went out and spoke to him. They explained that there is a rule in Italy that air conditioning cannot be on in the winter months. This would be fine if we had known about this but no where does it say this and on check in the check in lady did not tell us this. I rang booking.com who were v supportive and told me this is what the hotel have advertised so yes it is wrong. This is very misleading of the hotel and because of this I would not stay there again. The manager told my partner if we didn’t turn the air con off he would call the police!! Very rude and ignorant man who doesn’t deserve to be a manager/owner.
