  Convenient to Roma Termini

  This hotel is just a couple of blocks from Roma Termini Station and a in great location for exploring Rome while still being close to transit. The building was a little difficult to spot when on the street as Hotel Argentina occupies the 4th floor in a hotel consortium building (see pic for specific signage to look for on the building and sidewalk). My single room was small, but was suitable for my two days of exploring Rome - and the mini fridge was convenient for keeping beverages chilled. The morning breakfast that's included was just a simple continental spread of cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, bread and pastries -- but the coffee options are great as you request a fresh-brewed espresso from the attendant behind the bar, or a cappuccino or other coffees from a self-service machine. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Argentina and would consider staying there again whenever I make it back to Rome!

  Couldn't beat the price/location

  You can't beat the location being so close to the main terminal train station. Whether coming from a cruise ship, airport or other cities, we only had to drag our luggage a couple of blocks. They have an Elevator!!! The last place we stayed at didn't. Check in was quick. Breakfast not vast, but some good sweets. Beds were hard and pillows very thin. The price was very good though. Private bathroom was big compared to a smaller room. We didn't come to Rome to hang out in our hotel, so if you need a lot of space, then this is not the place for you. I would definitely come back if they addressed the mattress situation.

  A reasonable base in Rome

  The hotel is very central, 3 mins walk from Rome Termini station. It isn't well sign posted so look for the building number, 47. The hotel is located on the 4th floor of a large Old building. There is a small lift. Reception is manned 24/7. Rooms are typical old style Italian - high ceilings and large windows. We didn't have much of a view but otherwise fine. Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast was buffet style with juice, cornflakes, bread, cheese, ham and pastries and was fine. Its a fairly easy 20/25 min walk to the Colosseum, and Roman Forum and a little further to the Trevi Fountain. We caught the metro to the Vatican. The Metro station is 2 mins from the hotel.

  My first visit to Rome

  Hotel is quite difficult to find as it’s in an old building which is shared with other hotels on the 4th floor- it does have a lift which has capacity for two people with baggage. It’s a very basic hotel, but very clean- if you aren’t a fan of hard beds, then it’s definitely not the place for you. Breakfast is tea/coffee and juice with bread, cheese, ham and pastries, plus cornflakes. The hotel is very central. It’s around a 2 minute walk from the central train terminal, 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain and around 50 minutes on the metro to the Vatican. Plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops as soon as you step out of the hotel. We visited a restaurant called Gallo Matto which I can highly recommend.
