  Wonderful place to stay

  We stayed overnight 2 nights at the Hive. Their staff was super helpful with directions, taxis and holding our bags until check in. We enjoyed the restaurant on the 5th level/rooftop, with the outdoor eating space available. We had lunch there one day and the food was delicious. They serve a breakfast buffet there too which has many international options. Our room was somewhat spacious, having a large support post in the mid center of it, which chopped it up. The place was spotless, clean everywhere! We were able to walk most places or get to the train station within a 10-15 min walk. I would stay here again.

  Fine for a Quick Stay, But Expectations Should Be Low

  My husband and I stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon. Location is 8-10 mins away (walking) from the train station and around 20 mins from colosseum. The hotel lobby is extremely outdated. The marble is nice and gives the appearance of “luxury” but all of the furniture is filthy, old and to be honest- disgusting. Now for our room… they put us on the ground floor closest to the lobby and directly next to a storage closet. Not only could we hear other guests entering and exiting the building all night, the janitor sounded like they were banging on the walls since 6am. Opening trash bags, mopping, laundry, we heard every step of their routine and could not sleep with all of the noise. I’m a heavy sleeper and am young so I don’t usually mind a little noise but this was BAD. Cleanliness was below average. I would say the sheets seemed to be clean (I hope), but the walls were filthy and there appeared to be mildew/mold buildup in several areas of the shower and overall maintenance/cleanliness felt below average.. Bed and pillows were comfortable, tv worked great and we did not have any issues with hot water. All in all, this works fine for budget travelers. Gets the job done but I slightly hoped for better. Side note: lobby staff was nice, had no issues with them. We didn’t complain until checkout because we were only staying 2 nights and were only there to sleep.

  Great hotel with a great restaurant

  This is great hotel close to Termini Station. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms spotless clean and beds were very comfortable. I will add the restaurant on the roof top is well worth a visit, we ate here several times and the food was the best we had in Rome

  My experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing due to multiple issues during my stay.First, several members of the staff were quite rude, including a front desk employee named Luciano. The attitude and lack of professionalism were noticeable and made interactions uncomfortable.Second, something as simple as requesting a steamer for clothes became unnecessarily difficult. The hotel does not provide irons, and the steamer they offer can only be used for one hour. When I asked about this limitation, one employee even commented that one hour was “more than enough time,” which came across as dismissive rather than helpful.Third, and more concerning, a bellhop entered our room while I was sleeping. When I confronted him, he said he had received a call claiming there was an emergency in my room. I immediately went down to the front desk to speak with a manager about the situation, but I was told there was no manager available. This raised serious concerns about guest privacy and security.Finally, during checkout, the hotel attempted to charge me for parking despite the fact that I never had a vehicle during my stay—we used taxis the entire trip.Overall, the combination of rude service, poor handling of guest requests, a serious privacy issue, and incorrect charges made this a very frustrating experience, this taking into account this is not a cheap hotel.

  Really nice but could have been better.

  Location was excellent with easy walking to most historical sites.Had an issue with the lighting in room, on first night the central lit well in the room would not turn off and they sent someone to look. They could not fix it and it was late so they had to shut off all power which meant H&S nightmare when I needed the toilet in the middle of the night. Resolved the next day but was unnecessarily difficult to do with room swaps offered not good alternatives (Had a bath n other a shower which was not ideal).In general though the hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Lifts a bit cramped but very functional and in a perfect location. Dropped a point due to lighting, and the fact that no compensation was offered.
