Location

This historical city hotel is located just 5 stops from Termini Railway Station and around 700 m away from Ottaviano underground station. It is right by the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, and the area is very calm with plenty of very nice restaurants where guests can enjoy some Roman specialities. Nearby guests can find anything they may need such as banks, post offices, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, cinemas, fashion boutiques and many other conveniences. The hotel is the ideal departure point to discover Rome as guests can reach any point of Rome in few minutes on the underground.

Facility

The hotel has 25 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday.     Hotel very clean and room exceptional. The desk staff was excellent. Olga was wonderful. Being elderly she had patience assisting us with luggage, directions and completing our plane check in.     I spent 4 nights here over thanksgiving break. I’m a woman traveling alone and it was SO safe and clean. Best location ever. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. This was also incredibly affordable. I recommend the hop on hop off bus ticket (sold next door). It’s also across the street from a taxi stand and provides personal airport transfers. This place was amazing and I will definitely stay here again. If you’re looking for a resort look elsewhere. If you want an authentic place to stay while exploring the eternal city, this is it.

    The worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. No hot water throughout our 5 night stay.No heating until 1st Nov, despite it being significantly cooler at night.Apparently our room 209, hasn’t been fitted with an air heating unit like others have but no alternative was offered like a portable fan heater.Roof terrace and bar closed due to staff being on holiday, no mention of this when booking. We only chose this hotel because of this facility.The shower tray was mouldy and cracked, water sprayed out of the fitting and there was a significant leak in the screen meaning the floor flooded. Several other elements were either not working, on their last legs or simply not available. Nothing was done to help during our stay, no alternative accommodation or solution was offered and despite daily requests to speak to management we were told they were unavailable and uncontactable. We have still not received a penny of compensation/refund from the hotel other than not being charged city tax on departure. Unless you want the full Faulty Towers experience, don’t stay here.

    We are on our fourth day staying here. On our first day upon checkin, it was not disclosed to us that they had been without hot water for a few days. When we discovered it after a long day of travel and work, they said it would be fixed very soon. Now, on day 4, it is still not fixed. We have not left for another place to stay because of the length of my work days here and without the time to search for another place to stay. We depart in two days from now and I don’t have high hopes we will get hot water. There is no way to sterilize the breakfast dishes, no way to have clean sheets or towels without hot water, besides the fact that we can’t take hot showers after long days of sighseeing and work I’m doing here in Rome. To top it off, they didn’t disclose and we can’t get answers for a resolution. We won’t be paying full price for our stay. I have already asked for a significant discount. We do not recommend this hotel. The walls of our room are also dirty. Our toilet is stained. No iron to iron clothing that has been in suitcases.

    Five days. No hot water. The issue existed before our arrival and outlasted our departure, through the chill of Rome’s autumn.My polite request for early check-in was met with icy precision: “3 p.m. only.” No mention of luggage storage — naturally.Upon arrival, not a hint of assistance, just the stunning announcement: no hot water. As “compensation,” management offered a minimalist breakfast — symbolic at best.Every day the same performance: “Tomorrow!” A word that, in this establishment, clearly means “never.”If there’s no hot water in autumn, one shudders to imagine summer without water — or winter without heating.A so-called four-star hotel that fails before, during, and after your stay achieves something rare: consistency in mediocrity. Avoid. Even a park bench might feel warmer — and certainly more honest.
