  We have read the reviews about the good service of this hotel. In December, we booked a stay of five nights for May 2026. We have sent three emails through their web site with questions over the last few months and have never received a reply. I hope the service will be better once we arrive. We even went through the chat feature and the AI said that it would open a ticket and have someone respond. This didn't happen as well.

  Zero Compassion or Accountability. Avoid !!!

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with the Goethe Hotel was extremely disappointing.I had a confirmed reservation and, unfortunately, was hospitalized just two days prior to my stay. I provided official medical documentation to explain the situation and requested either a refund or, at the very least, a credit for a future visit.Despite this, the hotel refused to offer any flexibility or accommodation.I fully understand cancellation policies, but exceptional circumstances—especially medical emergencies—should be handled with a degree of empathy and professionalism. The complete lack of consideration in this case was surprising and discouraging.Travel plans can change unexpectedly, and how a hotel responds in those moments says a lot about their customer service. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend others to consider that risk before booking.

  Small Quiet Room in Boutique Hotel

  Our room was spotlessly clean, very well appointed, new and very quiet. However, it was very small with no place for even small luggage. Staff were helpful and friendly, booked us taxis and shared suggestions for restaurants. The roof terrace (maybe not part of the hotel ?) was great, with excellent sunset views over the city and was open even in early March. Check in and reception was a bit challenging, especially after early evening. We found a couple standing in the 'lobby' looking confused one evening as they couldn't figure out how to get to reception. (The hotel is on the 1st and 6th floor of an office building with a small elevator that was a bit sketchy. And, security gates come across the entrance in early evening so you need to know/ remember the code to get it. (Remember in Europe 1st floor is N. America's second floor, so no obvious reception once you find the entrance). Decent value for price paid.

  Perfect for exploring Roma.

  Just returned having spent four nights here.This place is an absolute gem.The hotel is beautifully presented.The rooms have everything you need and are spotless,cleaned every day.The whole hotel is set up in a modern way with original art works,quiet spaces and even an honesty bar,a really cool and chilled vibe. Praise must also be given to the staff very friendly and so helpful .We would happily return to this wonderful hotel and the beautiful awe inspiring city.

  Zero bathroom privacy

  The room had a matte glass for a bathroom wall so you can see your partner on the toilet and wipe their behind. So zero privacy . So that was very annoying. But otherwise everything was good. The bed was nice and big. The staff was really nice. Rooftop bar is cozy and I went there a few times. The only other negative thing was that the room had a fragrance overload and gave me a headache.
