    Lovely b&b

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and had a lovely stay. There was a slight issue with check in and we struggled with the door the first night this was soon sorted. Our room was spaceous and clean if a little out dated, the steps to bath room where very steep. Rooms cleaned daily and the mini fridge restocked. The location was excellent and we would recommend this b&b

    Visit to Rome

    rating29 Jan 2024

We booked through Loveholidays and we arrived at the right time, a little late because our transfer driver didn't know where the place was. We got told off for arriving after 8pm and were told we wouldn't normally be let in, surely there was some miscommunication here with loveholidays. Very steep stair leading to rooms upstairs. Confusing when we went to get into our room as there was a door to the kitchen and then rooms off of this. Not lile photos advertised. The room was to my likely and if you had the window open in the bathroom people could see in. Shower pressure was terrible so most of the time it was cold. The location only is fantastic as everywhere is in walking distance and the breakfast was ok. Maybe needs updating Lucia Varone, Proprietario at B&b Ventisei Scalini A Trastevere, responded to this review Good morningI'm sorry but all the confusion about your booking and your room does not depend on us but on the agency with which you booked (which we DO NOT know and which therefore used another agency!!!) The photos and descriptions match perfectly but, if there are several passages of Agencies, I imagine that the exact information is lost!Be careful to book on the right sites!!!!

What a fabulous oasis on small lane amid the vibrant buzz of Trastevere

    rating23 Nov 2023

Fabulous Location. Lucia was always available on WhatsApp. The late check in was straightforward. Lovely little silent lane around the corner from the buzzing vibrancy of Trastevere. We had room Meraviglio (Marvelous) ... and it was. Outside the room was a shared breakfast area for 3 rooms with coffee, tea, toast, cereal and goodies. Rooms had heat and aircon. Loved it.

    Lovely trip

    rating14 Sept 2023

Our first time in Rome- had a wonderful trip exploring the beautiful city and eating too much. Warm welcome from the host who was there when we arrived. Each day our room was freshened up which was great and snacks replenished. Had one issue which was resolved as soon as mentioned (toilet flush stayed on which was noisy throughout the night). Did not happen again. Noise from the street was as expected with Trastevere being a busy sociable area. Quietened down at a reasonable time at the weekend. Overall a lovely long weekend and would love to revisit in the future

Not a good experience. We were glad to leave.

The room did not match the pictures. We had the ground floor apartment, called "Diamonds". The bedding was threadbare, didn't look clean, and the room smelt of damp. The breakfast was some pastries that were left out for us at 2pm the previous day. The property details mention Airport transfer. This consisted of us being told where the taxi rank was. We understand this was a B&B and were not expecting hotel standards, but for the money (£90 for one night) this was well below par. I wouldn't recommend this property. Add a few pounds to the price and stay in a hotel. Lucia Varone, Direttore generale at B&b Ventisei Scalini A Trastevere, responded to this review We completely agree with you: you should have gone to a hotel and not a Bed and Breakfast. Just a small note, a hotel in our area, in the historic center, costs from 250 to 300 Euros, so the difference is not a few pennies. And we are among the cheapest B&B PS read carefully: the shuttle is offered by Booking, not by us, and the taxi rank (which costs much less) is a few steps from the B&B PPS you forgot to mention that we gave you the room at 12.30, that is, an hour and a half before check in, something that no hotel ever does. But we are just a small family B&B
