Location

The hotel is situated inside the thermal park, Le Terme di Roma Acque Albule. The centre and the railway station of Tivoli Terme are only about 300 m away, and links to the COTRAL public transport network can be found just outside the hotel. Rome is some 20 km away.

    The pictures on the website do not match the hotel! The hotel is far more run down than the website shows. That being said, the hotel was clean. The surrounding neighborhood appears run down and is about 20 minute bus ride to the center of Tivoli. Would not stay again. Giovanni Ricci, Altro at Victoria Terme Hotel, responded to this review Gentile cliente,ci dispiace che ci siano stati aspetti non completamente soddisfacenti. Speriamo di farle cambiare idea alla prossima occasione.

    Overpriced and false advertising

    Staff are lovely, and rooms are fine (no kettle). There's no pool despite the website saying there is. So our plans for a hard day sightseeing followed by a swim, didn't work out. There's a facility next door which you pay for. N summer t looks like There's lots of outdoor pools but short opening hours in winter (end Sept) meant nothing was available to us. Really feel this is false advertising. Food in the restaurant was shocking.Overcooked "lamb" with frozen green beans and croquet potoes. The room itself is a huge room with tables packed so tight you can barely squeeze between them.Breakfast buffet was OK, but tinned peaches and pears? You grow them, the fruit shop down the road had fabulous fresh fruit.Hugely overpriced and total rip-off. Not the fault of the lovely staff. Very close to train station with good service to Rome and Tivoli.

    Decent hotel for a city break

    Hotel staff are very helpful and couldn’t do more for us during our stay for the Ryder Cup. Rooms are a little basic but more than adequate and clean and tidy. The restaurant is good and the service was spot on. One point to make is that the pool and spa are not part of the hotel which the website implies. These are next door and you have to pay 35 EUROS to use the facilities and outdoors was closed when we were and it looked like it has been closed for sometime with all the pools empty of water. The area around the hotel is a little run down and only two restaurants in the area means you have to get a taxi if you want more choice. However, the restaurant recommended by the hotel was excellent. It’s about a 30 mins train journey into Rome from the nearest metro station which is very close.

    Came here for a weekend getaway. Apparently the hotel is only 10 years old, but the orange bathrooms and dated decor make this place feel like a Las Vegas budget hotel. We paid 30 euro to do the acque albule day spa, but save your money it was even more dated. my gym is better equipped with a more modern feel. You’re better off spending 10 euro to use the terme pools outside. A bit disappointing.

    Hotel horror surprise

    So, having spent 14 (mostly) lovely days driving around and experiencing Umbria and tuscany, we needed a hotel with swimmingpool and a close distance to CIA Airport before departure.Hotel Victoria terme seemed like the perfect match with 45 minutes of morning traffic to the car rental drop-off.The hotel room itself was a typical air-conditioned, clean and economic minimal 4 star with a fridge.However keep in mind the swimming pool is a wellness center with access for all between 08 am and 6 pm (08:00 - 18:00) who pay 10 eur. This means several things. If you arrive in the weekend in this timeslot you will have a hard time getting a parking space!Also, you need to warn your kids that the water is a natural source with sulfur (smells of rotten eggs), with 10 cm visibility (mind the depth). And during the weekend, expect to sit in the sun and on a towel as the pool areas are severely oversold. Having survived the weekend fleeing the hotel to visit Tivoli (villa d`este etc) we looked forward to relax and have a nice sleep in the hotel Monday night and leave early for the return flight Tuesday morning. Our room apparently had an extremely bad location in the hotel, overlooking a square next to the hotel restaurant. The hotel is frequented by a rather large returning group of seniors, for whom the hotel throws a party that lasts until 11:15 pm (23:15) and it's extremely noisy with a speaker yapping on, while the music is playing. So our kid couldent sleep, neither could we the adults - there had been NO warnings from the staff, and they did nothing from their part to help, assist or remedy in any way (lower the volume, offer another room, compensate) even when confronted by this frustrating event on a hotel. Just to make everything really bad while staying at Victoria terme hotel, the pool area next door, set up a TV-series shooting using a large scaffolding framework of aluminum. This was the background for some noisy hours of filming from midnight to aroud 04 in the morning - there the team started to hammer and crack on the aluminum scaffolding to pack it down. This has to be the one of our all-time worst hotel experiences ever. (and we have traveled a lot!) Totally wasted and tired while driving to the airport, looking forward to erase the horrible memory of Victoria Terme Hotel in Tivoli Terme.
