    GOOD AMBIENCE, PRIVATE, VARIETY OF FOOD AT BREAKFAST WITH GOOD SERVICE.I LOVE THE SHOWER AND CLEAN WHITE SHEETS. NEAT COMPOUND WITH VERY HIGH QUALITY TRAINED STAFF WHO ARE ALSO VERY PROFESSIONAL.THE FACILITY IS WELL VISITED AND VERY POPULAR WITH VISITORS ALL AROUND THE WORLD

    Lovely hotel in EUR district, Roma

    Great hotel to stay in Roma in the EUR residential / business district. Short walk from EUR Fermi Metro stop. Lovely breakfast (€10pp). Lunch and dinner also available. Rooms are being incrementally refurbished. It is the old house of a Catholic religious order (Fratelli Maristi) so is quirky in comparison to standard hotels. Crunchy Pizza nearby is great for lunch or dinner. And there is a cake shop nearby to Crunchy Pizza which has lovely torte e cornetti. Also good supermercato nearby. To be recommended!     First of all, this hotel is in EUR, which is far from the historical center of Rome. It was convenient for me as my business was in EUR. It still was a fair distance to the office, so my clients picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel every day. It is, however, a short walk to the EUR Fermi/Laurentina area. There isn't anything to see but there are a few decent restaurants and bars.The hotel itself is rather strange. It's a huge castle-like building with vaulted ceilings in the cavernous lobby. My 2nd floor room was at the far end of a corridor that must have been at least 100 m from the elevator. The room itself was quite fine and spacious.There's a restaurant on the premises. That, too, is very large and less than cozy. I ate there one evening and the food and wine were good. There's a lobby bar, which is kind of cozy with comfortable sofas.The hotel is on a hill surrounded by pretty gardens and pines.All staff at the hotel were very nice, friendly and helpful.

    Hotel Villa Eur .... A Hidden Gem!

    The Hotel Villa Eur is a hidden gem of a hotel! Although it has a three-star classification, and the rooms can probably be described as "compact", the fantastic staff gave 5-star service, and really bent over backwards to accommodate my needs. The hotel and rooms are kept sparkling, and the building is reminiscent of a Florentine Villa, situated as it is up in a small, verdant hilly area surrounded by mature trees and in a peaceful environment with birdsong as a soothing background.The buffet breakfasts (which can be included in the room charge) are excellent with a great choice of typical Italian cold cuts and a wide selection of breads. Bacon and scrambled eggs are also available washed down with hand-made coffees. For a few euros extra, traditional crispy bacon and eggs are prepared to order. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner with a good selection of dishes on an à-la-carte basis and a solid wine list. The restaurant staff are very helpful efficient, friendly and cheerful, and important quality to start the day off!I think the value for money is excellent. Checkout time is usually 11:00. However, I needed a late checkout till 18:00 because of a late evening flight, and for a very reasonable 49 euros that was quickly arranged. On my next trip to Rome I will be staying here again!

    Tired, unpleasant area, clean rooms

    A bizarre ‘hotel’ that is more like a hostel of rooms along large corridors. Aircon units that are ineffective, 70’s furniture for rooms which are kept clean. No way to iron clothes on site so a laundry 15 mins away. Unsafe at night in the locality with the major reinforced 4M solid gates emphasising this.One upside there is a great local deli about ten mins away that is a genuine foody heaven.
