Location

The resort is located directly on the sea in a quiet location on the south coast of Salerno, between Paestum and the Amalfi Coast. It is an excellent base in Salerno to explore the most beautiful locations along the Amalfi and Cilento coasts.Attractions nearby include a water park and numerous clubs, restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities. There is a bus stop directly outside the resort and Naples Capodichino Airport is about 60 km from the hotel.

Facility

The holiday village has a lift and features 4 single rooms and 18 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car. Other services include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a mini fridge. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. The complex has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the terrace. For guests who wish to keep active, beach volleyball and golf are available. Water sports available at the holiday village include paddle boating, canoeing, water aerobics and aquafit. Sport and leisure facilities at the complex include a gym, table tennis and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a range of services, including a spa, a steam bath and a solarium. In addition, a sauna and massage treatments are available for a fee. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the non-smoking restaurant, which features air conditioning and a separate area for smokers. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. Breakfast gives guests plenty of delicious reasons to get out of bed in the morning. Lunch and offer a wide range of dishes. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The complex also offers special catering options.

    nice friendly hotel we were in off season so pool closed used local taxi service across road in campsite very good always on timewe eat in resturant at night twice and food v good and resonable air con in rooms good rooms cleaned daily breakfast fine continental

    The hotel is quite a way from Salerno town but the local taxi company is great and inexpensive. All the hotel staff, including reception and waiting staff are lovely and very helpful and accommodating. I had a great few days with my daughter. Great private beach opposite.

    Lovely location just right in front of the beach. Staff were helpful, amazing and patient even though they hardly knew English. It is bit away from the town, so will need a car hire or cab/tours to reach your destinations. Bus frequency is god as well. Swimming pool closes as 6, but private beach time till 8pm. The resort staff splly - Manuela,Mattiu, Annalisa &Angela - u guys were too helpful and amazing. Best wishes. We friends had a great time in your resort and Salerno, exploring Amalfi coast, Paestum and Pompeii..

    Me (25) and my partner (23) booked a weekend away for bank holiday weekend to Italy last minute. The holiday itself was lovely! We managed to get loads done as we knew it was a weekend spent exploring/doing touristy things. The weather was beautiful for the weekend, we were lucky. However we were disappointed in the hotel. It brought a downer on the holiday. We read the reviews and everyone said how lovely the hotel was so we assumed that the hotel would be perfect! We were looking forward to being able to relax a little while we were there, however we weren’t aware that the pool and private beach would be shut. We paid for bed and breakfast but the breakfast was disappointing. Only a few little bits, not filling at all! The service was poor as their English wasn’t very good. We struggled to communicate with the staff. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were flat as pancakes. Me and my partner didn’t get a good night sleep on all 3 nights we were there. The air con didn’t work which meant we had to have the window open which meant flies and mosquitoes were coming in and disturbing us in the night. Because we struggled to communicate with staff they weren’t able to help us with the air con. On the plus side, the bedrooms were clean and every morning they tidied the room and changed the sheets.We thought maybe we booked the holiday out of season but you’d think that it’s just been the Easter holidays and with the summer holidays approaching the pool and private beach wouldn’t be shut and they’ve have more going on? Also we paid lots of money to get taxis to the train station and to other destinations. Turns out we could have got a bus which would have been much cheaper. If the staff could understand us then maybe they could have let us know? I’m giving this hotel a 2 star - disappointed.

    We've just returned from a week's stay at la isla bonita resort. Cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff were incredibly friendly and so accommodating. The hotel is situated right opposite its own beach resort - beautiful! We were half board and enjoyed delicious and generously sized food every night. Lots of new seafood dishes to try and bespoke menu for our 9 year old son, who pretty much got whatever he asked for on the night! You do have to cross a road to access the beach resort, but we never had to wait long for safe crossing. Long evenings drinking wine on the beach - perfect!The hotel is a little isolated, but the staff arranged for car hire for us for the week. We planned our own daily excursions - salerno, capri, vesuvius, pompei and, of course, a day's fun driving along the amalfi coast. All easy to get to from the hotel. On our last day we had full access to the resort, even though we checked out at 11am. This was invaluable as we didn't fly home until late in the evening. You can get a massive pizza from the bar for around 5 euros - bargain! Full wifi across hotel and resort, free parking and also separate swimming pool area, which my husband and son raved about. Lifeguards always incredibly attentive - set up your parasol, deckchair etc and make sure you have everything you need. All pool users need to wear a swimming cap - can be bought for 2 euros from behind the pool bar. Rooms perhaps basic but exactly what you need. Spacious enough, but no in-room tea / coffee facilities. To be honest we were only in there yo shower and sleep - so much to see and do - so it worked well for us. Will definitely be going back and 100% recommend. Thank you La Isla Resort for looking after us so well!
