  Week in Sicily staying at The Albatross Beach Hotel

  We have had a wonderful week stay at the Albatros Beach Hotel.The rooms are spotless - and a good size, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo are provided.The food is wonderful as part of the half board package - the desserts are works of Art.A big thank you to Giusy, Maurizio, Gianluca (very attentive - nothing was ever too much trouble for him) and finally Guiseppe.The main man Tino who oversees the service and the wine expertise of Edorado.The hotel provide a bus service to Taormina which is very convenient and good value for money.Sicily was made perfect by the Team at Albatross would wholeheartedly recommend.Deborah Dodd from the UK

  Vacation - a weeks stay

  Currently coming to the end of a one week vacation.The hotel is spotlessly clean.We stayed half board and the food is magnificent - I’m not keen on meat and fish but that didn’t matter I have not experienced so many vegetarian options before and the desserts are to die for.The staff are attentive and caring- especially maurizio (very sweet), beautiful Giusy, Giusppe and employee of the month ‘Gianluca.The location of the hotel is ideal to get to Tarmina - the hotel offers a bus service to and from there far cheaper than paying for a taxi. The train station is also within walking distance.Reception are also very pleasant.Would highly recommend- thank you for all that you do.Deborah and Derek Dodd

  Everything we thought

  Recently returned from a quick 4 night stay at the hotel - As others have said, the hotel is very clean and well maintained, all of the staff we encountered were happy to help and obviously proud of the hotel. Although its on the seafront it was reasonably quiet, although there is a lot of building work going on at the beachfront. The single one way road can be a little hectic - Breakfast was good without being outstanding and the dining room can get a little cramped. Our room was good with a side sea view. There is a 5 euro shuttle to Taomina , and its well worth it. Worth noting that the transfer is split in two. Half the distance on a coach and the rest of the way in a minibus due to the access . All in all a good break

  Nice family hotel .

  Good clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff . The rooms are modern and clean .The buffet breakfast is amazing with a large variety of food and drink available The hotel is situated on the sea front , but Taormina main town is easily accessible by Shuttle bus from the hotel or public busses .

  Lovely hotel shame about outside work been done

  Just returned from 7 day holiday at this hotel staff are lovely and kind hotel is kept very clean rooms also. The breakfast's are really good had evening dinner three times first two times was good third time sadly was not good you pay a set price of 35 Euro for two courses around 10 Euro for dessert if you have wine the meal for 2 people is around 120 Euro.Sadly they had a very bad storm I think in January and there is rather a lot of work happening outside the hotel along the sea front many large JCB machinery other sorts of diggers lots of the footpaths are blocked and is rather noisy we went with Jet2 they never informed us of any of this plus they are also re-tarmacking the long costal road so its a little manic I know there working as fast as they can but we did feel like we were in the middle of a building site not the hotels fault at all but I do wish to give honest review of the area at the moment.We went on some nice trips stunning view but the area around the hotel is lacking of good eating places hence why we ate in the hotel 3 times as the Pizza places along the front were very basic food there is a lovely little square with a beautiful church and some nice places for coffee and ice cream but like I said poor for food and very little shops around..The Hotel has a little shuttle bus that take you into Taormina stunning place and lots of shop's and eating places the hotel make a charge of 10 Euro return per person for this well worth it as a taxi is around 35 Euro one way.. The views from Taormina are amazing. Sadly the work that is been done outside this beautiful hotel did spoil it a little for us as you were not able to sit peacefully and enjoy the sea view but I am sure they will get it done as fast as possible. The 4 star is given and not 5 star because of the evening meal and the chairs in the bar area not been the best but its a lovely hotel with great staff.
