Location

This resort is located in Sicily in Mazara del Vallo, on the western side of Sicily on the most southern border of Europe. Guests can discover an original and ancient side of Sicily, situated just over 1h from Palermo and in a lush valley immersed in olive groves and vineyards. The family-friendly hotel is approximately 8 km from Mazara del Vallo, where guests will find numerous restaurants, bars, nightlife, shops and a bus station. The aparthotel's private beach is 10 km away and nearby cities include Selinunte (35km), Segesta (70 km), Marsala (40 km) and Erice (90 km). Punta Raisi Airport is around 100 km from the spa complex.

Facility

3 junior suites, 8 suites, 2 apartments, 10 single rooms and 74 double rooms are available to guests in a 3-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the garden view from a balcony or terrace. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A safe and a minibar are also available. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are provided. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The apartment hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Plenty of active recreation awaits guests in the pool area's 2 outdoorpools. No matter the weather, swimming is always a possible in the indoor pool. There is also a special swimming area just for kids. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy cycling/mountain biking and tennis. For a fee, horse riding is also available. With snorkelling or, for a fee, paddle boating, canoeing, sailing, catamaraning and diving available, fans of water sports have plenty of options to choose from. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym, table tennis and callisthenics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a hammam and hydrotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a steam bath and massage treatments. Parents can unwind while the kids can participate in an entertainment programme full of fun activities.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Fantastic experience

    It was truly a lovely experience! my family and I stayed there in June for a week, and good thing we did because it was already really hot and staff told us that in July and August it is much worse! so good thing we did think this through. When it comes to the hotel, the rooms are spacious and clean, the pool is nice and refreshing; just be mindful that if you’re not used to the sun you will get burned! so be aware of that, it’s Sicily after all.     A fantastic break at the Almar

    We had a wonderful week staying at the Almar. Alberto and the hotel team went out of their way to ensure my partner and I had a relaxing holiday. Alberto is a experienced professional and his approach to ensuring a top class service is delivered to guests is evident across all areas of the hotel. A 5 star service. Special mention to Ed, the porter / driver on the front desk - always happy and will do anything for you. The shuttle service to town is a great benefit for evening dinner. Spa was excellent. Highlight of the stay. I didn't have any treatments but my partner had 3 and said they were really good. The Yoga guy was top notch - the best I have ever had. You must book this. The pool is great for a swim before breakfast. Breakfast buffet to a really high standard with lots of options available. Very friendly waiters. We had one meal in the restaurant on the last night and it was probably the best meal all week to be fair. Room was modern, clean and regularly serviced by staff. We had a view of the pool - well worth the extra cost. We loved our days out to the Selinunte Temples / cave di cusa / Marsala town and wine and olive tours.Overall, a superb time at the this hotel.     Great hotel,,the staff is so dedicated. The spa is great and the restaurant is so good..We spent memirable days. This is great place to stay and visit some places as Marsala, Favignana, Erice, Trapani and Selinunte. Then return and enjoy the amazing spa, then have dinner in the garden.
