Location

This hotel is situated in the historic centre of Agrigento, 50 metres from Via Atenea, the old heart of the city and its main shopping street. In via Atenea guests will also find restaurants and bars, and links to the public transport network are only 400 metres away. The city's most important attractions include the spectacular Valley of the Temples (2 km) and the National Archaeological Museum. The numerous churches in the historic centre as well as the Arabic quarter make the town a great holiday destination. The nearby sandy beach of San Leone offers an extensive stretch of natural beauty spanning particular spots of natural interest such as the white cliffs, with the so-called 'Turkish Steps'.

Facility

The apartment hotel was built in 1900. The hotel has 5 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a TV room, a transfer service and a laundry service are available.     Very close to the via atenea, the main street of Agrigento, comfortable rooms with air conditioning. From the lovely terrace at the top of the building you can enjoy the evening view of the valley of the temples illuminated. The host Ruggero is very helpful and super nice.     HORRIBLE experience!! We booked trough booking.com, for 1 night. We called Michela, to tell her we were going to arrive later than 19.30( latest check-in time), she told us it wasn´t a prob. When we arrived to the city, tried to contact her,calling her several times, without getting it, went to the property and nothing again.After this she turned off the phone and we had to find another place to stay. We lost our money, and felt CHEATED. I´ve seen we havent been the first, and we´ll not be the last. BE CAREFUL with this place people.

    Very disappointed. We booked through bookings.com, for 2 nights, and we tried to call Michela from a local Italian SIM card, to tell her our check in time, as per instructions. We called over 10 times throughout the afternoon, but for some reason, she would not pick up! The directions she gave us were very vague, and she would not answer her phone to give directions or assistance. We missed our check in time, and so were charged the full 2 nights, and when we returned the next morning, she refused to allow us to stay the second night, but instead, greedily pocketed our money - I suspect she double booked the room! I would not recommend staying with such an inflexible, untrustworthy host.

    Family visit from Australia. We drove a medium size car to Lerux and to be honest I was glad to get it out when we left without hitting any buildings. Lrrux is located within a rabbit-warren of tiny nooks and crannies with parked cars blocking access everywhere. Small car is a must! We thought the accomodation was ok, but not for anyone with a weak heart. There is a step narrow staircase leading up into the rooms. The owner, Ruggero, was a lovely bloke who had a lengthy chat and explained the locality well on our arrival. He provided a map and plenty of hints/tips. The accomodation is well located centrally within the town. Our room was adequate and a good size. The air conditioner was available but operates on a timer and only 3hrs use was included in the price. Overall we were happy with the service. It is basic accomodation at a reasonable & fair price. We especially enjoyed the free glass of fortified wine with Ruggero!
