    Not usually a reviewer , but I feel like I could probably help someone out of they are on the fence with the pros and cons. Pros- The hotel is pretty stunning when you look down from above. The rooms are very clean and streamlined. The wifi was terrific for those that still have to do a little work. The pool is clean. There are scooter and bike rentals at the hotel which is useful. There is a woman named Julia who works the front desk who is an angel. She helped us plan boat tours and rentals, as well as recommendations. She really took her time with us and I truly think she made our vacation memorable. They are lucky to have her. The guy who helped us with our mopeds was also super kind and helpful. Cons-As far as the other staff I cant say the same. They were not very warm or welcoming. In fact they seemed annoyed that we were even there. The kitchen seemed to always be closed or only serving 1/4 of the menu. They charge you 5 euros to use the beach towels which is a first for me. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They felt like prison cots, although I've never been to prison ha. I woke up every morning so stiff and could barely sleep. The pillows were the same. The pool closes at 7 which is a bummer if you have kids. The restaurant is subpar. Also the moped rentals are party pricey especially since you can get them in town for half the price. I think next time I would stay at the resort down the street that has an ocean view. It gets even hotter down in the quarry with no ocean breeze.

    This is the second time we have stayed at this refuge and we hope to return again. Special thanks to Yulia who greeted us upon arrival with captivating professionalism and invaluable information. The rest of the staff were also always attentive. We had a room with a balcony, which was peaceful and quiet. A place not to be missed for anyone visiting Favignana.

    We are very grateful to the owner of the hotel, Maria Elena. She offered us free accommodation and helped us when the boat refused to take us back to Trapani and we had nowhere to go. She has a very kind heart. The hotel is absolutely magical. The staff was very kind and helpful. We thank Maria Elena and her husband for their hospitality. God bless them.

    Pretentious and overpriced but rooms are nice

    Reception: we had booked a 3-person room with two beds. Got a room with one bed. After a while, after complaints, they split the bed into two and arranged new bedding. Pool: we wanted to have a pre-dinner drink in the poolbar. We had to wait 15 minutes for someone to serve us. Dinner: Unexperienced staff were hovering over us all the time. At one point two people were standing 20 cms from the table just looking at us. When we actually needed help from them they had to ask the head waiter for everything who walked around like some petty king pretending to manage a fine dining establishment. He insisted to speak English to us which was completely un-understandable - although we speak good Italian. We ordered wine by the glass - got ca 7-8 cl at the bottom of a wineglass. I asked for more and then got to pay for ” double portion”. In total very pretentious and overpriced compared to the quality of the food. Breakfast: Decent breakfast buffet but again the staff were beginners and had (another) pretentious petty king telling them what to do. Although it was a buffet you had to wait in line to point at what you wanted, bread, cheese, everything. Even in the most luxurious of hotels that does never happen/Maria

    Quiet and Comfortable

    The hotel is situated in a quiet side of the island and away from the hustle of the town. Rooms are comfortable and the air-conditioning works perfectly. A comfortable pool with a well-stocked bar. However if you plan to go about think about transport because taxis are difficult to get. I have to mention the staff of the hotel here because they just can't do enough for you and are always ready to help with a big smile.
