  Failed to honor policies and laws that require acceptance of service animals. Would not allow reservation because we have mobility assistance service dogs.

  We have just returned from a beautiful trip to Sicily staying at Elihotel. Overall, we had a lovely trip but the accommodation is in desperate need of an upgrade. Positives -The location is beautiful set at the end of a lovely beach. There is a private beach for hotel guests with complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas. There was a beach bar and restaurant which served lovely drinks and food which is open into the evening. The views are stunning. The continental breakfast is the best I’ve ever had with plenty of choice and very fresh. The staff on reception were extremely helpful and offered local knowledge and advice. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were provided. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the region with a local bus stop less than 5 minutes away and the train station less than 15 minutes away. We used both (be mindful to pre purchase train tickets as you get charged 4 times the amount if you purchase on the train - this almost happened to us on a day trip to messina). We took the bus daily to Taormina (an absolute must if visiting here) which took 25 minutes. The area felt very safe and peaceful and Elihotel is a great choice as a base for exploring. Negatives -The accommodation. We unfortunately had a room in the annexe of the hotel (the hotel was fully booked so we were unable to book in the main hotel or pay for an upgrade). The room was very dated with alot of broken/damaged items. The ceiling fan didn’t work and was falling apart. There was a gap under the room door so we were joined with lots of ants constantly. The bathroom is in desperate need of an upgrade. There was a constant smell of urine from the get go. The shower head was broken as was the shower door. The shower cubicle was far too small with no where to put toiletries and the shower area was unclean. There was only 1 plug in the room which the fridge was plugged into so we had to charge our phones on train journeys. Our room backed onto the railway line and a main road which meant broken sleeps every night. Overall, there were so many positives to the hotel and we would return again, provided we got a room in the main building, as there were lots of positives but I would not recommend booking a room in the annexe.

  Great family holiday

  Just returned from a week's stay. As a family of 3 (2 adults 1 child) we were situated in the annexe building situated behind the main hotel. Our flight was delayed So we arrived in the early hours of the morning to be greeted by a professional and friendly night manager who made booking in as painless as possible. We got our room keys air-conditioning remote and TV remote on arrival (nice not to be charged for use of air conditioning as have been in other hotels we have stayed at) . Room itself was large, light and very clean, as we discovered housekeeping visit every day and replace towels daily. The balcony was on the small side and could barely fit two chairs. But the view made the tight squeeze worth it. Note that you must ask for the free WiFi code from reception it's not noted in the room. Breakfast was a typical European buffet style with plenty of options for the unfussy adults but our fussy 10year old had the same cereal and hot chocolate every day. The beach bar is very useful when using the sun loungers and parasols incl in the price on the private beach but be aware that during peak times the tables do get booked in advance. We hired paddle boards at a reasonable price a couple of times which was really enjoyable way to experience the beach and crystal clear Ionian sea. The resort does offer excursions through a third party but we wanted to do things under our own steam and the hotel is situated a short walk from a bus stop and the local train station. Over all this was a great hotel, professional, helpful staff impeccably clean and situated in a very picturesque part of the world with good transport links nearby.

  Me and my 2 friends booked this hotel as our first ever friend holiday, so we were very nervous about how everything would go. However, we were very pleased with the service and our room in Elihotel. Immediately, the building looks very nice and blends well with it's beautiful surroundings, and it is less than a minute walk to the beach! The receptionist told us he would upgrade us to a superior room with a sea view on the balcony (we originally booked a standard interior room), and the room was lovely. Everything was very clean, the shower is amazing with lots of water pressure etc. We also had breakfast included at the hotel, and our waitress for breakfast was very friendly and let us sit outside so we could watch the sea every morning. Breakfast includes lots of pastries, fruits and eggs, and we particularly loved the coffee. Overall we would definitely recommend the hotel. Many thanks to the lady and man at reception, you both were very accommodating and welcoming :)

  Terrible accomodation. Not recommended.We have got a room located in the left side - rooms are dark, small, with a broken furniture. The bathroom is a terrible (there are fungi on the walls, sink was dirty and with hairs from previous guests). The window is broken and cennot be closed properly (the room was on the street level). Breakfast is ok (but not 4 stars, coffe is from the machine, no fresh juices, generally overly processed food). The dinner menu seems to be very limited and the portion of the served food are too tiny for adult people. The dining itself is poor - there are spots on sheets, water bottles are dirty. You are served firstly with food, the drinks are served in the middle of eating main course. There is plenty of mosquito around the hotel property. WiFi doesnt work.The only good thing is a nice beach.The Elihotel claims to be four stars - it is two maximally.I dont recommend to stay here.
