  Beware: Last-Minute Cancellation and Misleading Description – Avoid at All Costs

  Our reservation was canceled without any prior notice, and we only discovered this upon arriving late in the evening with our family. Despite numerous calls from the staff asking for our arrival time, they made no mention of any issue. This last-minute cancellation left us stranded, forcing us to find another hotel at a much higher cost.Additionally, this place is not a real hotel. The photos are misleading; the "hotel" occupies just a small, shabby section on the second floor of a rundown building. To enter, you have to go through a dirty, dilapidated alley and carry your luggage up because the elevator doesn’t work. We were greeted by a rude owner who showed no consideration or professionalism. The entire experience was chaotic and stressful. Avoid this place if you value reliability and basic courtesy.

  Horrible owner, do not recommend

  Upon reflection of our stay we are horrified at the lack of hospitality and good manners from the owner. She truly impacted our stay. There was no smile, thankyou or even a good morning. We were treated like a hinderance. All we witnessed from this woman was her either being rude to her customers or a bully to her staff. She would shout and belittle the handyman/cleaner at any opportunity. It was extremely uncomfortable.We are extremely grateful to the handyman/cleaner who worked tirelessly throughout our stay and kept a smile on his face throughout as he catered to our needs and went above and beyond to bring good hospitality and kindness to the hotel. The other woman at reception was also lovely, she helped check us in and gave us an initial good first impression which continued throughout our stay here. She seemed happy to help and very polite and kind. The hotel in general is basic, the beds are comfy and rooms are spacious and clean thanks to the lovely cleaner/handyman!, but the amenities are at a shortage. Breakfast was minimal and the coffee machine did not work, the drains also gave off a strong unpleasant smell. The two stars highlighted are purely to highlight how great the 2 staff were, we only hope better opportunities arise so you can feel appreciated in your future workplace.

  Good location is the only positive. Be careful when you take a shower, the drain is like a hole. Unfortunately I didn't realise how deep it was and I hit tiles with my toes. Very painful. Breakfast wasn't the nicest, very little effort from owners in comparison to other places we have stayed and it smelled in our room, drains.

  We stayed for 1 night. We had alerted days in advance the management that there was a gluten-allergic guest. We repeated this at the moment of check in. Yet, when we came for breakfast the morning after, the receptionist in charge i) did not know about the allergy, ii) let us wait a long time before doing anything, iii) came back with some meager cracker, iv) when I complained for the service, I was told that there were also egg-free biscuits (with gluten: which indicates that she did not know what gluten is), and, best of all, v) she tried to justify her behavior because the colleague told her to have over-heard us complaining with each other about the hotel the day before (which was not true, and anyway would not justify poor service from their side).

  Liked: Helpful and friendly receptionists. Good location. Huge room with a seating area & a fantastic ceiling. Excellent AC which was able to cool a room of this size.Disliked · 1) The attached photos of the mould in the shower speak for themselves.2) There is quite a palaver on arrival. The hotel is on the second floor. To use the lift, you need a key. It was not made clear that the receptionist has to come down with the key. I was half-way up the stairs, with my wife and the bags in the tiny lift unable to move, as the receptionist arrived.3) The stairwell is quite badly lit. The lights went off the first time we were going down - we eventually figured out the light switches.4) The breakfast was disappointing. After the first morning, we opted to go downtown for breakfast instead.5) Bring your own shampoo etc. None was provided over the three days. They said they were "awaiting the order".6) The signage at the front door is poor. (See photos attached)We would not return.
