    Would not recommend this hotel restaurant like a works canteen, very dated and noisy rooms.

    Just returned from this hotel with a solos holiday company. Thank goodness we only stayed 3 nights as we had to take our evening meals in the Olimpo Hotel attached. We had to take , Lifts, the vunicular then another lift to restaurant, (our restaurant 0nly opened for breakfast), the restaurant was more like a works canteen its was noisy, extremely busy and very hot,no air conditioning. Food also not brilliant. Room was clean but noisy overlooking main dual carriageway. I wouldn't recommend staying here it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in ITALY.

    This hotel may have been 4 star once but needs refurbishment. Service at pool bar was terrible. Pizza good but Paninis very poor A lot of road noise depending on your room.

    A 3 night b&b stay. Myself and daughter stayed here the beginning of May. On arrival, at check in a lady checked us in no smile but I assumed she was just busy, she gave us a map of the hotel and our key and told us where the lift was. Our room was lovely, large and very clean with beautiful views and a balcony. The mini fridge had two bottles of water €2 each. There was no remote in the room so I phoned down to reception to request one. An hour passed and nobody came,so I went down to reception to request one, it was then brought to my room. I wanted to buy drinks for our room, there was no hotel shop and the nearest shop was a mile walk, as it was late the only option I had was to get lemonade in cardboard cups from the bar until I could get out the next day. We went down for breakfast the next morning, we waited to be seated but no one greeted us. I walked into the restaurant looking for staff. When I found a member of staff they just pointed to a table didn’t show us where anything was and didn’t put cutlery down for us. We had to get it ourselves. Very poor customer service skills. The choice of food was okay but nothing that stood out. I asked reception where the ATM was and they told me I had to get the lift up to the Olympia hotel to get money out. There should be one in each hotel. The maids were very good, they came in and cleaned our room daily and topped up towels and toilet roll, they were also friendly when we bumped into them in the hall ways and lifts. On check out I handed the key in and payed my €6 bill. There was no how was your stay? or was everything okay?, nothing. On reflection, the hotel was beautiful for views and cleanliness, however it was let down by hospitality. I didn’t feel welcome throughout my stay and unfortunately wouldn’t return for this reason.

    Driving from Palermo and touring Mt. Etna, we made it to hotel at night. There wasn't any place to park the car to check in, so I parked the car in front of the gates. As we checked in, I asked the receptionist where the parking lot is. He replied...the streets! After circling several times to find parking, I asked again where is the parking lot? He replied, a lot is down the hill. We found it, only to realize it was 3 blocks away going up a steep hill. The room was spacious with a balcony, but the Stand-Up Coffin Shower was a JOKE! This hotel is ideal if you're in a large tour group, not as individual or family.

    The hotel is too big with many empty spaces. Other than the staff's attempt to make us feel welcome, the hotel itself is unwelcoming. I was annoyed to find that in October, management decided to turn the air conditioning off even though it was still hot! I had to make a fuss to receive fans for our room. The young man behind the counter was dismissive, stating, “There's nothing I can do.” His supervisor, however, saw that I wasn't taking no for an answer and provided two fans. The food was bland, and the rooms were basic. The staff were okay, some were approachable and some were not. I quickly realised the hotel was not suited for people of Black culture, we stood out! My daughter's room had to be changed because of an ant infestation. Will I ever revisit? No.
