    Dreamy but active honeymoon hotel

    Booked this hotel for our honeymoon this end of May. We had the cabin in the garden, which stood apart from the hotel itself. The room was tidy and cozy and the sea view is amazing. The staff was very nice and helpfull and they make the stay comfortable and nice. The whole vibe of the hotel is dreamy. The only thing we really had to complain about was the mattress, which had a big dent in it and you really have to get used to all the steps and stairs in the city but also in the hotel itself, especially when you book the cabin, which is 85 more steps down from the hotel itself. Up and down, up and down. We'll be recovering from all the climbing now that we're back home but we had a lovely stay.

    Hotel Bel Soggiorno is a lovely older hotel just below city center in Taormina. It is easy to get to city center, but be aware that you will need to walk up granite stairs which might be difficult for those with mobility issues.We stayed in an economy room which was small but clean and comfortable. The shower was very small but we managed.The breakfast was amazing and the employees were attentive and kind. The views from the breakfast room and the terrace outside our room were lovely.We would stay here again but pay more to have a larger room with a bigger shower.

    Where do I start! How is this hotel only 3 stars? From start to finish the staff were an absolute joy. We were greeted by a lovely staff member immediately upon entering who helped us take our luggage to the room. The reception staff and breakfast staff were all kind and friendly. The hotel itself is just absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the suite room, and from what I’ve seen it definitely seems like paying that bit more is worth it. Something to note is that the balcony was shared, which we didn’t know about, but to be honest it was fine. Each room has its own section clearly laid out. It looked like there were some rooms with completely private balconies too. It’s a short walk into the town centre, so out of the main hustle and bustle but close enough to get to easily. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

    Amazing views, excellent service, delicious breakfast, beautiful lounge and eating areas.We had a corner room which had stunning views over the sea and Mount Etna. Although the hotel’s location is a 10-minute walk from the centre of town, it’s worth being outside of the crowded streets and in the calm.

    We spent two nights at the Bel Soggiorno in early October 2025. The hotel is a short, steep walk outside the town centre. Our room had two balconies, one overlooking the sea, the other overlooking the bay and, rather wonderfully, Mount Etna. The room was a decent size and well equipped, but the views were the things that stood out. Breakfast was fantastic - loads of choice, hot and cold, sweet and savoury - quite possibly the best buffet spread we have ever encountered. The breakfast room and terrace were also terrific. The staff were uniformly pleasant, friendly and helpful, including arranging a taxi for us to the station (this is definitely not walkable). The only downside was some road noise in the late evening and, on Saturday night, "music" noise from a nearby night club. Overall, though, highly recommended.
