  Nice hotel, further from city center.

  we stayed here as part of a large tour group. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful. The water temp in the shower was not consistent, would suddenly go cold then back to hot. That was my biggest complaint. Loved the water pot to make coffee. Was a grocery within a few minutes. far from town though, up a steep hill.

  We stayed just for 1 night, and thank God! The treat from the beggining was unnacceptable, the door didnt close properly and our room felt extremely hot, about 27celsius degrees. We asked for a room-change, and the recepcionist suggested us to open the window all night, ridiculous.Finally we could get another room, smaller and (not suprisingly) even hotter.. simply shamefull.There is no parking option, and the same person gave us the direction of another park, that turned out to be a private one of a supermarket.I hope this comment helps other people choose better and go to a place more respectful with its costumers.   Pillow like rocks, towels a shade of dirty grey and close to threadbare. Hairdryer from the 1980’s at best. Gum stuck to the arm of the chair in our room. If this is 4 star someone needs to come back and reevaluate!   Disappointing for a 4 star hotel

  I stayed at this hotel 20 - 22nd October with Riviera Travel.There were a number of issues:The hotel was being refurbished but our room was not yet done. It was dated, the plumbing gurgled and the air con could only be operated by contacting reception.My phone and tablet froze completely. I therefore could not contact anyone. I contacted reception who were unhelpful and said it was my problem. After several hours the phone reactivated but the tablet remained locked until I booked into another hotel.I am gluten free and have other dietary issues flagged to the hotel in advance but the waiting staff seemed unaware and the rep from Riviera had to help me. The food was mediocre anyway.The location was good for the Valley of the Temples but uphill and some distance from Agrigento. Direzione Hotel della Valle TAS srl, Direttore generale at Hotel Della Valle, responded to this review Gentile cliente,siamo profondamente dispiaciuti del Suo feedback negativo, apprendiamo solo adesso leggendo la sua recensione.Vogliamo farLe presente che non c'erano lavori in corso nel periodo del Suo soggiorno ma solo bloccato la Hall per restyling mobili di arredamento e cambiato gli alloggi della illuminazione .Per quanto concernono i sistemi elettronici tablet e cellulare purtroppo sono apparecchi personali e non siamo riusciti a capire cosa e' successo e perche' erano bloccati, purtroppo l’assistenza tecnica per telefonia mobile non e’ vicina al nostro Hotel.Ci dispiace anche del dettaglio per quanto concerne la colazione senza glutine anche perche' il nostro personale alle colazioni e' sempre disponibile alle richieste clienti, disponiamo colazione per celiaci a disposizione ogni giorno.Siamo una struttura anche attenta ai dettagli dell impianto di climatizzazione di alto livello e gestito dal ricevimento per garantire il confort ideale per ogni camera.Infine, per quanto concerne la Sua cena, possiamo dire che la nostra cucina e’ una delle realta’ di una cucina mediterranea invidiata nel complesso agrigentino e se avessimo saputo prima, del Suo disappunto, Le avremmo consigliato un altro piatto di Suo gradimento.Speriamo di averla nuovamente come nostro ospite nel nostro albergoGrazie per l’attenzioneCordiali salutiStaff Hotel della Valle

  A nice hotel in spacious grounds

  This hotel is situated some way from the centre of Agrigento and is surrounded by extensive gardens. The rooms are not large but comfortable and spotlessy clean. Mine overlooked part of the garden but I couldn't work out how to visit this part of the garden! The room had quiet air con. and also had a blind to keep out the heat of the day. The bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows and the bed side lighting was good. An added bonus was that tea and coffee making facilities were provided!The bathroom was a little on the small side but everything worked and there was a good range of toiletries with good towels.According to the infomation sheet, you could order breakfast in your room and laundry services, ironing board, etc., were available.The pool was very nice with a bar area by the side where evening entertainmet was provided. There was also an amphitheatre where you could perform yourself if you wished!The breakfast buffet was very good with all the cold items that you would normally expect but also a full hot breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, etc.) available. There was a delicous array of cakes and pastries to finish off your meal! And dinner - well, you couldnt fault it; the menu was well chosen and prepared and the waiters used "silver service" to serve it!A very pleasant hotel with friendly staff and a place I would certainly not hesitate to stay in. The only thing I would say is that several parts of the gardens needed some maintenance as you couldnt easily walk round.
