Location

The hotel is situated right on the beach in one of Taormina's picturesque bays, 900 m from the cable car which takes guests to the centre of Taormina in 3 min. The bus station is some 200 m from the hotel and the railway station is around 4 km away. Catania - Fontanarossa Airport is located at a distance of approximately 60 km.

Facility

72 non-smoking rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park. Other services include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can enjoy a selection of sport and entertainment options. Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace. Leisure activities and facilities at the resort include a gym and a spa or, for a fee, massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Classic hotel on a private beach, best in the area!

    This is a classic hotel on a private beach with a beautiful views from the room. The hotel is older but updated and fits the style and feel perfectly. I would highly recommend it for it's helpful and friendly staff and the unique boutique hotel ambiance it provides.

    Nice location and very nice views of the bay. However, the hotel is very tired and in need of renovation. All rooms have a view of the sea but our bathroom was a disaster - so small that to sit on the lavatory you had to put your feet in the shower!!! The impression is given that there is easy access by foot to the cable car to get to Taormina...do not be fooled by this - it is a kilometer away along a dangerous road with no pavement. So you are then forced to take a cab up and back at 20 euros each way. The reception staff on the top floor really could do with some charm lessons. They are the first face of a hotel and should set the tone. The restaurant downstairs has an excellent feel about it with overhanging laurel trees, terrific views and the staff are very good compared to reception. Lunch great views and dinner intimate. The cooking is good but not excellent. The bar area of the terrace is a bit sparse and uncared for. Often used glasses are not taken away. They make very poor cocktails with little alcohol in them. You have to ask for nibbles with your drinks. The beach is easily accessible but not stylish and a bit untidy. All in all, we did enjoy our stay but It has a feeling of a hotel cutting corners. However, it has the lay out, location, space and potential to be an absolutely super hotel with a refurbishment and shuttle services. Not a 4 Star but could be a 5 star with investment!

    Hiccup in Taormina Italy!

    This hotel was dated, uncomfortable bed, pillows that felt like rocks, dingy towels and the decor was horrible. Please don’t let the photos fool you. It was rated 4 stars. Not at all! We felt misleaded by their website. We were booked for 4 nights we stayed only one and that’s because we couldn’t find anything on the first night. We instead stayed out all night not to have to endure to much time there. Bathroom was tiny and smelled of sewer. We lost $2000 +. They refused to refund us ! The staff were pleasant and tried to change our room. The 2nd room was worse. We just kept the 1st room. The only nice feature was the view from the balcony. If I had a hammock, I would have slept on the terrace ! I wish I could rate it -1 star.We checked out and left to another beautiful hotel. Refused to let this experience ruin my vacation!

    Our July holiday at Lido Mediterranean Hotel

    We stayed for a week. Upon arrival, there was a basket of fruit in our room. In this hotel, you will find true Sicilian style in the interior – bright color combinations, wooden furniture, curtains, chandeliers, and wall sconces. Arched doorways and windows. Plenty of greenery and flowers.Our room had a sea view, was comfortable, and the bed, pillows, and bed linens were excellent. The slippers and toiletries (shower gel, soap) were of great quality. From the very first minutes of our stay, we were surrounded by care and attention. We would like to highlight Salvatore Spadaro at reception – highly professional and attentive, and Sergey – polite, sincere, always ready to help and solve any problem.In the restaurant, the waiters were friendly: Roberto, always cheerful, helpful, and professional; Francesco (also at reception), attentive and kind; and Alessandro, sweet and pleasant. The staff creates an atmosphere of comfort and genuine Sicilian hospitality.The restaurant’s cuisine is wonderful, with healthy breakfasts. We would also like to note the perfect cleaning service (Sara).Many thanks to all who make a stay at this hotel comfortable and unforgettable! And also to the General Manager, Giuseppe Trefiletti.

    Great Views, Private beach - A paradise!

    A friendly welcome, amazing location with a Private beach, sun loungers (free when you stay at the hotel) & Beach towels provided. Nearby restaurants walking distance and a short taxi ride from the main city. Breakfast was great with many options and fresh fruits and vegetables. We stayed in Room 110 and it had an amazing view! Spacious room and comfortable bed. The hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.
