Location

The hotel is located in the centre of Giardini-Naxos, in front of the Bay of Giardini-Naxos and near to shops, restaurants, bars and clubs. Catania-Fontanarossa Airport is some 55 km from the hotel.

The hotel has 2 single rooms and 41 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Guests can store valuables in the safe.     After reading some reviews I was not sure we’d booked the best hotel, so here’s an honest review. Our room was huge, opening out onto the pool. Air conditioning was faulty but fixed within a day. In the meantime the hotel promptly gave us a large fan. Shower fabulous with great pressure and always hot. Bed was huge and very comfy. Extra pillows were provided when we asked. No kettle in room so brought our own travel one and got cups from restaurant (I think if you ask for kettle they will give you one). Maid service daily, fresh towels daily and room kept spotless. Breakfast basic but good. Hotel in great position with plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. I was concerned about reviews about nightclub across the road which did get noisy from about 11.30 until 3 am. However we shut our doors and slept right through it. We’d arrived on Friday 5th September and after Sunday 7th the night club finished for the season. We finished our evenings there most nights with a cocktail. Beach right across the road, sandy and easy to access the calm waters of the bay. The hotel has fabulous views of Taormina and Castlemola. Finally the staff were lovely and very helpful. In particular Mary on reception who was always happy to help, recommend and sort any problems. Don’t be put off by reviews. Your holiday is what you make it. Buonjiorno.

    The hotel staff are a good team, helpful, professional and cheerful. They will book trips for you and are v knowledgeable. The hotel itself is well positioned on the front, and our room large and v clean..great views over sea and marina from 5th floor and the beach plenty of sunbeds, though we never actually went there. The music noise from the bar opposite is pretty bad Thur- Sunday from 10pm- 3am so if a light sleeper be forewarned, as earplugs no use. The building itself is more 3* traditional style in need of some refurbishment. Electricity wires protruding from some walls and a very untidy area next to our room under refurbishment. We had half board and food v average. There are plenty of restaurants to go out to however. The one table looking out to sea was reserved all week, when all guests should be rotated to sit there. No tea or coffee available beyond breakfast, no kettle in room, and no snack bar at the pool area which is unusual. The bar rarely open and lounge area uncomfortable as no sofas or soft lighting. However, overall stay okay.

    Hotel at beginning of bay with good views over and towards Taormina & mountains. Rooms simple, nicely furnished & spotlessly clean with mini fridge for water. Clean towels every day, bed linen changed regularly. Bright lighting to read& TV but no English channel. Air Con not that great. Towels not supplied for beach. Continental breakfast with fried eggs & bacon. No snacks or light lunches served during day.Staff friendly and very helpful. However,. over the road in front of the hotel is a beach bar. (not connected in anyway to the hotel) This plays acceptable volume music in the day but from approx 10 pm turns into a disco with VERY, VERY loud music played with a pounding base until 1.30 am during the week and 3 am on a Friday, Sat & Sunday.. The music is so loud that it can be heard over the bay area. Many of the hotel guests suffered sleepless nights, we had to change from a room with lovely views to a room at the rear of hotel due to noise, which still could be heard, but at a lower volume. The music even penetrated the headphones that I was wearing once.The Management of the hotel helped as best they can, but are in a difficult position as no influence over this bar.

    Nice rooms, some with sea view, clean, very close to the beach. The receptionist was very nice and helpful with plenty of reccommendations for local attractions.Decent breakfast, not so various though.During weekend evenings/night you can hear the music from the beach bars.

    Beachfront hotel with a lovely pool area.

    Perfect location on the beachfront, next to the dock. Easy access to the local bars and restaurants. The pool was a welcomed escape from the heat. The pool area overlooks the beach. Breakfast included pastries, fruit and fried breakfast items, a good selection with something for everyone. The rooms are simple, spacious and all we needed for our night stay in Giardini Naxos.
