This city hotel is situated in the tourist centre of Palermo, just 10 km from the nearest beach. It is close to the famous Piazza Politeama and the Borgo Vecchio, one of the oldest, most popular squares for celebrations in Palermo. Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with a lift and 38 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day.     Can't fault the hotel itself,but the noise on a Friday and Saturday night outside on the street until at least 0400 is totally unacceptable and I would most definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone based on that

    We stayed here for two nights after a guided tour of Sicily. One night as part of the tour, plus an extra night (Friday and Saturday). Firstly I'm not quite sure how this hotel has been given four stars and secondly (in all my years of travelling) I have never experienced such disturbing noise from outside the hotel. Perhaps the provided earplugs on the bedside cabinet should have been a clue. I asked in the early hours if we could change rooms, but none available. To be honest I don't think it would have made any difference. Reception staff said they were aware of the issue and the police had been informed in the past, but nothing has been done. The area immediately in front of the hotel was strewn with rubbish. We have reported our concerns to the hotel manager and tour company. Not the happy end to our holiday we were expecting.

    We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vecchio Borgo! The staff, especially Matina, were absolutely amazing—so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was extremely comfortable, with excellent AC that kept us cool even on hot days. One of the things we appreciated most was how perfectly dark the room stayed, even in the middle of the day—thanks to the high-quality curtains, we got some of the best sleep ever. Altogether, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

    DO NOT STAY HERE ON A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY!!!!!!!If I could post a video, I would. Just outside the hotel is a small square where dozens locals with motorcycles and cars congregate and play music so loud you cannot escape it. Earplugs and noise cancelling headphones do not make a difference!!! This is not an exaggeration. Staff informed me it is EVERY WEEK! They should stop at MIDNIGHT but no guarantee and of course the police do not come! It’s Palermo. I had been touring and walking since 8:30 this morning and cannot get sleep. Result: ruin my next day,! How will I be compensated?? Friday was bad but Saturday night is INTOLERABLE!!If this was not happening, this hotel would get at least a 4/5. Breakfast is a disappointment. Lots of pastries.I am beyond belief this noise level is tolerated by neighbours. My intro to Sicily is so tainted. It cannot possibly get worse.

    While I did not expect much for this hotel, I can clearly state this is NOT a 4-star hotel. The only reason I would give this hotel a single star is for the fact the water was hot. The hotel is located in a shoddy location. Each of the three nights of our stay locals were shooting off fire works disrupting our sleep. The rooms were in poor condition and the staff was unhelpful in every way. There is nothing near the hotel and its location as described is shoddy...basically located in a slum area. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
