Great hotel in Taormina, perfect for small groups

    rating26 Apr 2026

Our 4-night group stay at Piccolo Giardino in Taormina was excellent from start to finish.Great cooperation at every stage, both before arrival and on site. Giusy was exceptional: professional, flexible and always solution-oriented. You can really feel that everything is under control. The team was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Special thanks to Francesco for his support in a small unexpected situation. The hotel itself is a perfect choice for Taormina: great location, very good service and a spectacular rooftop with an amazing view.We also appreciated the extra touches like breakfast boxes prepared before our early departure, room service and small details like extra water. All these things make a real difference.I will definitely come back with future groups.Highly recommended.

    Perfect location to explore Taormina

    rating08 Aug 2025

A perfect location to explore the town of Taormina! We stayed for 4 nights which was plenty of time to explore. The hotel is walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the ancient Greek theatre. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we couldn’t fault the service. A decent amount of options for breakfast every day and a beautiful garden to enjoy it in. The room was clean and tidy, a few spots of damp/mould in the bathroom as there is poor ventilation but nothing to stop us enjoying our stay. Air conditioning worked well and kept the room the perfect temperature. There is a rooftop pool which we did not use as we spent more time on the beaches however there was a great view and about 4 sets of sun loungers and tables to enjoy the sun. The pool is small put great for cooling off. We were not aware before booking/arriving that the hotel offer a taxi service to a private beach which costs €20 per person for the taxi, sun lounger and parasol. The beach was lovely and has showers and a toilet to use as well as a lovely little restaurant. Water was a little choppy when we visited but beautiful and clear!Would recommend to anyone wanting to visit beautiful Taormina!

    An absolute train wreck

    rating12 Jun 2025

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Arrived to a dirty and hot room no AC and no working elevator. Don’t even think about booking if you have your own car. 20 euros a day for an out service with no in and out privileges. Staff were rude. Aloof and non caring. Daniele especially. No ac for two nights. I was told in the most condescending way to not be accustomed to north American temperatures. We do things differently in Italy I was told. Been to Italy 50 times. AC at good hotels is never an issue. Asked to escalate to ownership five times. “Subito” they said. Nothing ever happened. Trying to lobby for reimbursement. It’s like talking to a wall. Wrecked our first experience in Sicily. Three stars and you DEFINITELY don’t get what you pay for. This is a one star hotel to be avoided like the plague

Bad ! Do not even consider that as

    rating11 Feb 2025

Old and dirty hotel with rude staff, very expensive at £280 per night for what is basically a bad hostel. Its location is the only positive. You’d be better off living in the street than at this scandal of a hotel. The conditions were bad but the staff were even worse! Especially the lady on reception. Who was rude, unhelpful and offensive.

    A disgrace of a hotel (really a poor B&B)

    rating30 Sept 2024

I can honestly say that this is the worst hotel i have stayed in EVER and I'm 60+ and have visted over 40 countries and been to Italy and business and pleasure over 200 times. I have also been to Sicily 5 times before and before arriving at this hotel had 5 nights in the West and 3 nights in Cefalu both in fantastic hotels. There is no parking front or rear you have drag your cases out of the hotel along the road to wherever you can. The lift is broken, so getting your bags up to floors 2,3 and 4 is a real challenge. The air-con blew air but no cooler than the outside air. The restaurant has been shut down so there is no lunch or dinner, this is basically a bed and breakfast. The breakfast is open 8am - 11am, we went down at 9am and most food had gone, there were no glasses left for orange juice and no orange juice left either. No one is restocking the breakfast area. If your'e familiar with Fawlty Towers you would be better off going there. It appears to be shutting down - AVOID this place.
