    Shocking experience for our last hotel after 4 weeks in Sicily.

    How can this be a 4 star hotel Old stuffy smelling room 2 days of cold water- complained & reply was boiler was blocked hot water would be on 20 mins 2 days running 🤷‍♀️ no toiletries tissue box was empty Breakfast that was un edible cheap coffee , pastries that were off the shelf The only thing it had going for it was the car park And the STAFF.

    Terrible don’t be fooled by the 4 star rating We had no hot water, room smelled of mould which is very dangerous to one’s health dinning room was set up like a canteen, breakfast and dinner was very poor quality food. I wouldn’t recommend staying there we paid €190 p/n. Scandalous definitely not 4 star rating

    Stayed one night with my wife as part of a tour of Sicily... it's a 4 star hotel. No way should it have 4 stars, nor 3 and I don't think it deserves 2.Very old 60/70s and not been refurbished. Dingy walls, marked and scratched and just not clean. Old furnishings and curtains and a fridge that barely chilled..The bathroom was even worse. Gloomy white light, the bath/shower was very old and clearly aged, some cracked tiles and the overhead shower head leaked sending water everywhere.Hand towels were cloth and would have been better used as napkins..and there was a stray hair in the bidet ..Sheets were clean, thought the bed cover had seen better days.WiFi is very slow as wellThis is the worst place I've stayed in that wasn't in Russia....

    Do not stay here. It was a horrible dark and dreary room. The Air conditioner was blowing hot air and it could not be fixed and no other rooms available. This was at the end of June in the heat. They did give me a fan. The bathroom was so tiny and very dingy and old. One of my worst stays at any hotel.

    Appalling hotel, room was dreadful, dull, dreary, chips out of walls and furniture. Bathroom had chipped mirror and incomplete door handle .Staff demeanor was poor, felt like they were not interested. We were part of a TUI island tour, the coach arrived late and the evening meal was rushed so that they could close the restaurant . No bar or area where we could sit and meet up Have written to TUI, as feel the hotel is not up to standard .Shame really, as Syracuse was excellent...
