False Advertisement. Such a waste of money.

    rating17 Sept 2022

Air conditioning - Didn't work.Had to pay a huge fee when arriving with was never before specified. Shouldn't that have been included when I booked? Big disappointment off the bat.1 restaurant was open only 2 days we were there, where were the other 2? Also only sold sea food plus two plain meals. If you're allergic, you're screwed.Supermarket? sold nothing. only meat was sea food.No taxis in the area. They had 1 person who could take you to lidl but it had to be when they were free.Supposedly multi lingual. One person was able to communicate with us but barely.WiFi doesn't actually work. You will be on 4G the entire time. Air conditioning stopped working after the first day.Door wouldn't open to the villa when they took us to it. Basically remade the door in front of us while we waited. Ridiculous. No entertainment besides some kids dancing for people. No swin up bar. No diving. No windsurfing. no surfing. Nothing was available to us.The pool was constantly dirty.Says they supply you with toiletries. You get one bar of soap which is tiny, and one shower gel which wouldn't last one shower. No cleaning supplies in the villa. No sponges or washing up liquid. Had to buy but if you cant get to the shops you're screwed.Fridge was warm. Could not make it any colder.

One of The most enchanting beach in Sicily

    rating01 Aug 2016

Located a few km from Mazzara del Vallo 1h from Trapani or Palermo airports, is a wonderful breezy beach. Good for families and for young people who can enjoy a lot of sport facilities such as tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, football course, canoeing and beach volley. Kite surf is also available close to the village. The sandy beach is fantastic for the children who can play without danger. The white lighthouse on the background of the bay complete this very special resort. Here you can choose to stay at the hotel, the residence with kitchen facility or let a private apartment. The entertainment staff is polite and not intrusive and their shows are really enjoyable. The surroundings are full of history and lot of excursions are available. The food is very good and people really friendly. Fantastic!

Nice, but could do with some improvements

    rating05 Oct 2015

I stayed at this resort from the 22nd September for a week having purchased a wowcher voucher online. Originally I was due to travel with a friend but unfortunately she pulled out last minute which meant I travelled solo!I had read some mixed but generally very good reviews about the resort, which is what promoted me to go ahead with the booking as my late summer getaway and last chance of some good weather before the usual British winter kicked in.I was not disappointed with the weather the high 20s temperature was very much appreciated. Beautiful - great tan.The resort is massive with 3 pools and a private beach, however, as I traveled "off season" all the amazing things people wrote about I did not get to enjoy.Firstly the food, it was very limited and although I knew having intolerances to gluten and dairy eating anywhere in Italy was going to be a challenge I did not expect it to quite so difficult. I read about buffets and the great variety but unfortunately again because of the time of year it was very limited. Breakfast was the same everyday and sorry to say very boring. Although the staff were friendly and helpful and those whose English was not their first language they really did make an effort. The resort is basically in the middle of nowhere and extremely isolated (i cannot stress this enough) so if you don't drive or are not planning to rent a car be prepared to stay put for the duration of your trip. Fabrizo (the driver) does run his van for trips and is able to take you to various places but you need to work around his availability and it does cost. So I would advise you to plan ahead as much as possible to maximize your time. I found it very frustrating that there wasn't even a shop or supermarket close by to get a few things, the restaurant does serve lunch but I believe at a cost. I often found myself hording stuff from breakfast to keep me going. Thankfully Fabzio took me to Lidl one day and I was able to "stock up", very handy that there was a fridge in the room. I was also expecting a range of activities and things to do as stated on their website and from the reviews I read, but sadly no, all these had ended with the main summer season. Although the sports courts were open but of no real use to me traveling alone. Again there is the option to do stuff but plan ahead and if possible rent a car so you can travel freely, otherwise you can walk to the nearest towns which range from 20mins to 1hour. The only pool that was open was the main one, which is just as beautiful as the pictures, when I arrived, there was music playing and there seemed to be a real nice atmosphere but as the week went on it just died down until the only sound left of the sea like no one could be bothered. OMG the files!! Be prepared for the files, another end of season treat but they are not has bad as being eaten alive by the mosquitoes during the night. And no the tiny "shop" does not sell anything that would help, but I was able to get a lift into town to the nearest pharmacy for €10. Also I could not get the free Wi-Fi on my nokia/windows phone, the log in screen was just not compatible but worked fine on my blackberry and tablet and has really good range including on the beach and pool area. Thankfully the ladies let me hook up to one of the other networks so at least I could have internet access near the reception area. I had a room on the ground floor of the hotel section which was ok, I had lovely garden view (see pics) and the room was spacious, so much so I was able to do my insanity workouts in the room. The bathroom was clean but I agree with the other reviews that it needed an upgrade. Although I wasn't surprised, coming in on a voucher I expected to be in the lowest grade room the resort had to offer. However, I have to say thank you for the bottle of bubbly I had in my room, very unexpected. The resort does offer a shuttle service but is in my opinion is a bit expensive, if you do not share the cost its €80 or £60 each way or €40 if you share and again because of how isolated the place is you really don't have a choice, if they didn’t offer the shuttle i doubt many people would come. The resort grounds are beautiful lots of places to just sit and relax, I did enjoy the quietness and the fact that it wasn't overrun by screaming kids and a lot of people, but then the off side is that I did get a bit bored at times. Thank God for showbox. I get that the management were just trying to get in business before the weather cools down but I would have liked to see them make a bit more of an effort for those of us that were there. Maybe even a list of possible things to do e.g. Wine tasting, island trips, boat rides, water sports etc. There was evening entertainment only on one night (Saturday) and a bbq, no other activities unless you planned ahead and make the necessary enquiries and anything you did want to do tended to be twice if not three times more expensive. I would perhaps consider coming again during the summer season just to compare and knowing what I know now.i think the hotel can make some few improvements such as having a proper full time shop and the quality and variety of food off season. I have never eaten so many croissants in my life!! The one day we were served boiled eggs for breakfast I felt the hand of God blessing me!! A special thanks to Marisa and Monica who really made an effort to make me feel welcome and accommodate my needs, Thank you ladies.in summary lots to be done both at staff level and in terms of amenities.

Very isolated location. Must have a car to stay here. Don't judge Sicily by this place!

    rating27 Sept 2015

You must have a car to stay here. We were both very ill whilst there, probably down to food cooked at 6pm but not served until 8pm. Water not drinkable in rooms, no bottle water provided, no note to tell you not to drink the water either! No shop on site to purchase essentials, but they do have a shop to by trinkets & tat! Charged extra to use the pool, use the beach, use the tennis courts! Overtime I got in the pool for a swim I got shouted at to get out as the pool was shut! Jacuzzi etc all shut down. Room was clean, however in need of modernising. General appearance when we arrived was terrifying, it looks like a shanty town as you arrive, and I have never seen so much litter and debris in all my life. If this was your only experience of Sicily you would never return. We left here and stayed up in the North for a few days which was wonderful scenery and fantastic food & hotel.
