Good stay for a sighting trip to Catania.

The location is perfect for sightseeing in Catania, no further than a 15 minute walk to the centre of Catania. It is also only a 10-15 minute walk to the main transport hub where you arrive and depart to Catania airport following the bus from the airport so it’s really convenient. The staff are really friendly and always on hand when needed. The breakfast offers a free range of the usual European hotel breakfast selection included a number of Italian sweet treats. The coffee is okay but it would be an added bonus to have a traditional coffee option rather than a Nespresso machine but it’s a small potential bonus. The breakfast area is also really spacious so you won’t struggle getting a seat. The rooms are a reasonable size with a kettle and an okay sized bathroom. The building is traditional with a nice bar area and marble flooring. I would certainly recommend for a sightseeing visit to Catania.

Stayed for one night before an international flight home. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Approximately a 15 minute walk to the historic city center.

Katane Palace hotel Catania - do not use!!

Booked this hotel two rooms for one night on booking.com and paid up front - not cheap. Several days before the trip my colleague became ill. Messaged the hotel and explained the problem. Totally ignored! Tried to change the date, no availability apparently. Contacted booking.com they messaged the hotel, again ignored.DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL they take your money and then ignore you. Even the contact phone number on their website and also on booking.com is invalid, doesn't even ring!! Try it for yourself if you think that's not true.Booking.com were useless as well, basically they passed the problem back to us!! Didn't bother to help at all.
